That's because you're not a true fan of boxing, you don't know boxing and won't ever understand boxing
You are asking the wrong person. I can state as fact that he did. The why is just speculation. I strongly suspect its because Korobov was undefeated, had a deep amateur pedigree, and is more technically skilled. Combined with the fact that a non-friendly promoter won the purse bid, meaning Quillin would have no "home field advantage". Losing his 0 to a fighter they had no options on was probably not palatable to his handlers. Korobov is a skilled fighter, was heavily favored and was in fact beating Lee until he got caught. In hindsight his jaw seems to have some weakness, but it was not a known thing prior to the fight.
I'm only talking to Johnny now. Johnny, wouldn't GG still in line to be the mandatory of the winner of Lee Quillin? Cotto is still the mw champ.
What and a racist like you get's repsect Look at the state of this thread. You have been thoroughly owned. Why have I never seen you support any whiteys Mr Pibb? :think
X, nobody ducked anybody. You're right about the purse bid. But Al Haymon is a powerful dude. His fighters trust him and are loyal to him. The home field and Korobov deep amateur pedigree had nothing to do with Quillin relinquishing his title and you know it. Keep it G. Al Haymon is his advisor.
Korobov was the favorite going in against Lee......but Andy had power in that left hook and Korobov was looking past the Irishman. I think Lee would lose in a rematch but he might be next in line for GGG since Miguel doesn't look like he's interested in checking out if Golovkin is the real deal. But I don't see Cotto giving up his title like Pete did.
He's calling our Cotto. .....Money fight for Golovkin. I think Lee is shooting for Golovkin, however.....I think Pete beats Andy if they fight in April.
