A better Pacquiao fought Clottey and never hurt him. 38 year old Floyd is better defensively than the Clottey Pac fought. Floyd consistently gets hit with only 20% of his opponents punches and he lands 45% consistently. No one is more accurate, no one has a better +/-. There is no asset Pac holds that suggests that he can land more than 20% of his punches.[/QUOTE]

I agree Pacquiao will land a lot less than he is used to.. on the otherhand, Pacquiaos punch rate will negate this The little percentage he does land will presumably be one of the higher punches landed count during the fight. I also don't see Pacquiao being gunshy.. Mayweather just doesn't have the power to do. Marquez hit Pacquiao with some FLUSH right hands but Pac keeps coming. Were talking about a very high pressure fight here for Floyd.. Will Mayweather be able to adjust? Well have to see.

Pac's work rate will slow. You can criticize Mayweather's power but no fighter in 47 fights has simply walked through his punches including Oscar and Cotto at 154. Pac's output will slow because his punches will be ineffective and he will be hit with clean hard counters when he does attack. It will make him think twice and adjust. If he doesn't adjust he will get TKO'd by damage accumulating from all out the clean punches he eats.

To make this Poll more fun let's put our handles under the fighter we pick to win. All participants should agree not to give any excuses after the fight and all losers will praise the winner no buts no ifs. Let's do this!

In favor of Mayweather to win:

    1.
    2.
    3.
    ............

In favor of Pacquiao to win:

    1. blackmoldz - Pacquiao's relentless offense, quick footwork, hand speed, power, and experience fighting top notch opponent will be too much for Mayweather to adjust.

    2.
    3.
    ...........

Floyd by decision is the safe bet but in going on a limb here and picking Floyd by TKO.

Manny is a pretty reckless fighter and Floyd will make him pay when he tries to throw what looks like mma superman punches. This is outrageous the world thinks this guy has a chance.

    :deal

Been saying the whole time this fight will not live up to the hype. But hey, I'm giving Manny a puncher's chance. Floyd will be 38 after all. Punch resistance declines, as do reflexes. I just don't see Pac getting it done.

Huge payday for both men involved because of the buzz/hype. This fight may hit 3 million buys.
