Well, if you include 168-pounders in the question, then of course I'm gonna name mostly guys from that weight class, because 160 and 154 don't have nearly as many quality fighters.

    1. Mikkel Kessler

Kessler has a good chin and so he would stand and fight, and he hits hard so Golovkin would have to take steps back. I think GGG would become a defensive fighter in this one and probably lose.

    2. Carl Froch

I fancy Froch's chances for the same reason I fancy Kessler's. Power, chin, and resilience. But Froch is less offensive than Kessler.

    3. Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr.

Chavez has a great chin and is offensive-minded. He would brawl and make GGG move back. I don't think Golovkin has a good inside game.

    4. James DeGale

Skill, speed, power and ring IQ. I would bet on DeGale to beat GGG.

    5. Chris Eubank, Jr.

This guy hits hard and is offensive-minded, so GGG would have to move back and that's when he's vulnerable.

    Yes, for Golovkin.

Canelo and GGG are similar in size and Canelo is a better fighter than Froch.

I dont see Frochs size and toughness helping him that much against GGG

I just want to see him beat some good SMWs. We don't know how his power is going to translate and I think too many posters are betting all in because of it. He doesn't punch that fast and gets hit a lot plus he is small and would be very small for SMW. I think maybe Lara and Canelo can give him some problems from the division below but their very winnable fights. Where as at 168 Ward, Froch, and Degale have a clear edge over him. Want to see him fight a Dirrel hopefully Anthony while not as skilled as Andre he is more durable, Arthur Abraham, Or Groves ( if he lands probably over but Groves is fast and slick) to gauge him better at the higher weight.

Lee and Ward are the two fights I want to see

Lee just for fun, I don't really see him beating Golovkin but its possible

Ward I think would beat Golovkin though

Theres probably plenty of SMWs that could beat Golovkin but he'd be favored in most fights even at that weight imo

You don't think Golovkin has a good inside game? I think his fighting on the inside is excellent, from his short hooks and uppercuts, to his brilliant use of his forearm across the shoulder to push his opponent to a position where they can't get leverage, and using it to mask his other arm. He's got a lot of tricks in close.

Isn't Kessler retired? Otherwise I'd put him in my list up with Froch etc.

    Agree.

I think he wipes the floor with everyone at 160 (including Cotto and Canelo). Someone may have a chance if he drained himself to 154 but I doubt he's willing to do that.

At 168 I'd fancy Ward to beat him in a usual points fashion. Froch vs GGG could be something special, right now I'd say that's a real 50-50 fight. Andre Dirrell possibly (as much as I dislike him), need to see what he's like after such a long layoff.

Degale and Groves - tough to say. You'd favor GGG but you have to remember these guys have been at 168 their whole lives - we don't know what GGG will take with him going up in weight.

    Lara
He earned the fight with his dominating performance against Canelo and this is the fight die hard fans want to see. Canelo made the fight boring because he lacked the skills to cut off the ring, Ggg is good at cutting off the ring. Where Canelo had bad balance, Ggg has good balance. Where Canelo is feather fisted, Ggg has serious power.

Lara vs Ggg at 160. Lara has already stated he would sign. Let's get it on.

So did Leonard, Whitaker, and Ali. What's your point? Lara vs Canelo was boring because Canelo lacked skills to win the fight. Ggg has the skill where Canelo didn't to make this an exciting fight.

    No,
Canelo has proven he can run and survive. Look at the last 4 rounds of the trout fight. He may last 5 rounds against Ggg.
