The vibe for 2nd May how does it compare to previous PPV's not involving a UK fighter?

I thought most people were not interested in Tyson v Holyfield I as it was viewed as a mismatch for Tyson due to Holyfield's apparent heart and health issues.

However Holyfield v Tyson II was mega

Tyson v Douglas was pre-PPV and WH Smiths sold out of VHS tapes of 'The fight that shook the world' for a tenner a time.

The previous Floyd PPV involved Ricky Hatton

Not sure how Pacman did on Primetime

    You think?
Surely won't be that money in a fight not involving a Brit.

It won't have the appeal of anything like the Hatton fights, obviously.

But for us boxing nuts, it is an interesting fight. 6 years too late, but still interesting.

Once one of our channels, ie Sky, or BT or Boxnation get confirmed as showing it they will hype it up as much as possible. Right now no one know whose showing it.

I'm wondering will it take PPV to new levels payment wise, will it be £20, £25??

It will be HUGE fight for casuals and new fans to the sport.

The hard-core seasoned boxing fans will be less enthusiastic.

From an unscientific look at UK media and my Facebook feed, this is going to be pretty big

    It will actually.

Casuals will be all over this more than the Hatton fights.

Does the British audience know who these guys are?
I'm asking this because over here you can ask 100 people in the streets and maybe 5 would know who you're talking about. (depends on the location of course, but on average)
