Agreed. I don't think Rios, Bradley, or Algieri were threats for Pacquiao at all, and did nothing to prepare him for this fight.

I still saw those same mistakes that he's been making for years.

I think this whole idea that some people have that "Pacquiao has improved so much as a boxer" is pure fantasy. Sorry, but it's not reality. The right hand was there for Algieri all night, he flat wasn't good enough to recognize and capitalize on it. We're talking about Chris Algieri vs Manny Pacquiao after all. Chris did time Manny at times, and best believe if Chris can time Manny, Floyd will be cracking him on the regular.

And people are under-rating Floyd's defense strangely enough, or over-rating Pac's offense. However you want to see it. Pacquiao is going to get very frustrated by the mid rounds and will land in the mid to low 20s in regard to punch percentage for the night.

If Chris had KO power, Pacquiao would have been clipped again. Or at the very least, in trouble.

I honestly can't wait for May 2nd. I know I'll be proven right. :deal

Also a good breakdown. Watching it now. Why these people can't see this problem with Pacquiao is beyond me.

It's atrocious technique. And you have people saying he has "great footwork." Bull****. He has great speed is what he has. If he didn't, his ass would have been planted multiple times a long time ago.

Surprisingly since there hasn't been as many of these types of discussions in recent years on ESB.

Another point with the video in question. It's the miracle of technology that you can show all the times that JMM head feint caught Manny and ignore all the times Manny popped him when he did it.

Hard head feints are risky. Yes they have caught Manny plenty of times but Manny has also made JMM pay for his head feints many times.

Yet the only one who's gotten dropped because they were over extended was Floyd.

Its a fact of life the southpaw vs. orthodox results in both fighters getting over extended.

This guy is a ****ing moron.

Decent video..however has zero bearing on the Floyd fight. Juan was able to bait and feint while leaving himself appearing to be open. Floyd would never do that against someone that fast. He is safety first. Not gonna happen.
Juan is an aggressive counter puncher, Floyd is a tactical counter puncher. big difference. Juan throws more combinations...Floyd has largely turned into a one-and-done pot shotter. Effective, but again no comparing to the way JMM fights.

I think it's a 50/50 fight but I think Floyd wins... certainly not easily, but a win.

Watch this video if/when you have time. It's about 50 minutes long. Complete breakdown of Mayweather and his techniques: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTSJqpOkgRo (This will have far more bearing)
