K9 has the power and size to hurt Cotto and maybe even stop him. This is far more dangerous than I expect a lot to think it would be and I'm surprised you're one of them.

Absolutely disgraceful the way Golovkin has been denied his opportunity to unify the belts and fight the biggest names at 160 for so long. He's such a nice guy too. :-(

Imagine if K9 wins.. Golovkin would pound the dog sh*t out of him if he doesn't vacate the belt.

I don't care. I'm happy k9 is finally getting his payday and between the choices of cotto fighting him, rios or bradley I'm glad it was k9.

Sounds like a Tune Up with a year off...still I'm not happy about it.

I strongly felt he should have fought Opie or GGG.

I will not make excuses for Cotto...if GGG is too much then just admit it and vacate the belt and move on!!!

If he really poses that much danger ...then why not just face GGG ?

Win or lose he would definitely maintain respect and garner some more...

I don't think K9 isn't dangerous for Cotto. I think him getting a lineal MW title shot is ridiculous.

hmmm i dont know if its ridiclous. plnety of ppl throut histroy have moved up to fight for lineal titles. like Pac only fighting at 140 1 times and gets lineal title from hatton. at least K9 been at 154 for a long time. What if ward moved up and beat Stevenson?? would you think that was ridiclous if he was lineal champ like that?? not me, it is what it is. you win the fight you win the fight.

Ortiz and Guerrero had there chanes to be lineal WW champ if they would've beat Mayweather. like I said, it is what it is.

Nothing announced tho, so everybody chill for while :good

Cotto has been my favorite active fighter since the Torres fight, but his diva BS since the Floyd fight has seriously bugged me. Now here he is holding the middleweight title hostage when it's clear as day he has no intention of fighting a MW, let alone a top ranked fighter from 154-160. For GGG's sake, I want to see Cotto either man up and step in with Triple God, or vacate back down to 154, his ideal weight. The quicker GGG can unify, the quicker he can move up and take on new challenges.

Bundrage getting deuced on now and in some capacity rightfully so (more or less critiquing Cotto's MW opponent selection, but still)... However it seems many have quickly forgotten how highly most of the better posters on this forum viewed Carlos Molina. And Bundrage went to Mexico and made Molina his b!tch to the surprise of everyone, myself included.
