So many connects for Konečný, right on down the stretch. Quillin's head regularly snapping back.

Make that a full-size MW packing elite-level TNT instead of a light-hitting 36 year old career super welter...

Quillin possessed every advantage you could hope for over Konečný and yet allowed him to land 40% of his jabs and 44% of his power shots. :-(

I've always thought Kid Chocolate would knock Lee out. Lee resurrected his career by KOing Korobov but I don't think he has looked very good the last few years imo. Hes been through some tough fights, John Jackson was beating him up before he landed that hook, Jr whooped him and he was even getting worked by Craig McEwan before he stopped him. I think Quillin gets to him first and gets him out of there before he's able to land that right hook.

You're overrating the situation. He landed punk punches. The fight wasn't close.

Me too. Lee just isn't strong enough for Quillin.

If they were punk punches that makes it even worse that KC was blinking and flinching from them like they were 600v electric shocks.

IB, you know that this fight is not a fight where PQ deserves criticism. If there is any criticism its that he should've got the guy out of there earlier...but that just doesn't always happen.

GG didn't really deserve criticism in his last fight but his fans did lol.

His defense absolutely deserved criticism. He had no business letting Konečný touch him so much, even if he wasn't concerned about them. It wasn't like he couldn't have created his own scoring opportunities without taking all those punches, either. He had every advantage you could want. Taller, longer reach, faster hands, more athletic, better movement. In fact, most of what he landed on Konečný didn't even come in the form of counters. They mostly just took turns. He'd land, stand there gawking at Konečný, then move straight back into the ropes and lean on them while Konečný answered back - when he could've just landed and moved and denied Konečný anything.

Kid Chocolate by easy UD. People really are overrating Lee's KO power. I really like the kid, glad he's getting a break, has a title and will make some well earner money but he's a better boxer than he is a KO artist. Even with Quillin being out so long he has far too much for Lee.

While it's true people are overestimating Lee as a power puncher (in general his punches are no harder than anyone else's)...it is equally true that we must not overestimate Quillin. He is no great shakes. Literally ANY result is possible here.
