Slow as dirt or only made to look slow? He's got decent speed in his hands, DECENT, it's his foot speed that's slow as hell.

    Psyche.
Probably the only thing we agree on.

Have I been living under a rock? :huh

    1. The fact you called them "pillows" confirms where you stand on the matter and voids any opinion you have of it.

    2. It was the 3rd round....

    3. We'll cross that bridge when we get there, stop building excuses early. It's pathetic and shows lack of confidence. Man the **** up

So you're telling me Maidana has quicker hands than Canelo?

I disagree. I believe Canelo's and Maidana's hand speed is comparable, but Canelo edges him. The difference is their foot speed. Maidana has much better foot speed than Canelo, who's severely flat footed.

Maidana didn't trouble Floyd with his hand speed, he troubled Floyd with his unorthodox style. He's too unpredictable and throws at angles. Canelo is very predictable and throws in a straight line. Maidana is more versatile than Canelo, but he does not have faster hands.

    I'm open to a counter argument :D

Edit: Canelo throws excellent combos, but his gameplan was to outbox Floyd. Maidana throws deceptive combos and he tried to outwork Floyd. Big difference.

another reason he also gave him trouble is because he throws combos unlike canelo, same reason maidana kicked the tar out of broner was because broner never readjusts his feet after dodging one punch

and who has very quick feet , throws combos from ackward angles and is lighthening quick?:good

It's not that black and white. Pac's foot speed IMO will give Floyd hell. His hand speed will but will not be as effective if he's not in range. Which I'm assuming Floyd will look to maintain that range. Pacqiuao should definitely land some of those awkward punches. Can't wait.

Fact being that he didnt know if he would be able to catch Mayweather and was banking on catching him like JCCJr caught Sergio. When he fought Lara, he threw hands, knowing Lara was more than up to the task of potshotting and running ala Mayweather.
    1. Mayweather insisted on the glove changing. There was NO tampering like in Klitscko Wach fight, but rather Mayweather wanted the softer glove, and with his power, he got it. No excuse though, Madaina shouldve adapted in the middle rds when Floyd did.
2.Ok, the end of the 3rd. It's been almost a yr ago, and not exactly the type of fight that needed review for scoring. Clear 8-4 win for Floyd.
    3. Yeah, we'll cross that bridge on May 3rd. IF, and a BIG IF one or both don't wiggle their way out. A hangnail could postpone or kill this fight.

NOTE: #3. I have ZERO lack of confidence. I know what a KD is, and what aint.
Abraham landed shots prior to Dirrel becoming off balance or while he was off balance X 3. YET.....no KDs were scored though he would NOT have gone down if not for the PUNCH.
I watched Murray take huge bombs from GGG, wobble into the corner covering up, and go down from a shot that missed or from maybe GGGs weight on him. HBO called it exhaustion. FACT is, punches wer landed beforehand, causing him to go down yet the KD wasnt scored.
Corrie Sanders wobbled Vitali with a CL hand, then proceeded to attack him mercilessly, landing a glancing R hand off the glove which dropped the dazed Vitali Klitschko. NO KD scored.
Khan clearly dropped Peterson in rd 1 of their fight, and was robbed.
Murray dropped Sergio, CLEARLY and was robbed.

If that happens in this fight......and it's a good possibility, as a fan of Pacqioua, and a fightfan in general, I will be incensed, particularly if a shady decision is the outcome due to KDs not being scored.:-:)-:)-(

Good post, but Canelo had NO intentions of OUTBOXING Floyd.
He wanted to HANG with him, rd by rd, but he knew his only way to win was dropping and or stopping Floyd. :nono
