i initially thought that thurman was going to steamroll guerro but I was just reading about someone saying how much trouble bundu gave thurman and he was a gritty guy that likes to hold a lot and frustrate and bully his opponents. That sounds a lot like guerro so it might be a little closer than a lot of people are thinking.
Come March 7 , Guerrero will be nothing but a punching bag for Thurman . The man will receive the worst beatdown of his career .
Absolutely . A Thurman knockout win is the only result I can see for this fight . Theres no other outcome .
Thurman is definitely bigger, more athletic and punches harder but I wouldn't say he does everything better. In fact, I'd probably have to say that Guerrero does more things better.
Yes . Guerrero has too much heart for his own good , he wont be able to stay discipline and follow a gameplan . Thurman has said time and time again he will be pushing for an early knockout . Thurman got this , it will be an easy night for him .
If the Guerrero that fought Floyd and Berto shows up Thurman is in for hell, is the Guerrero who fought the Japanese guy shows up it'll be an easy fight.
Thurman is a mobile guy who punches well up close or long. He can outpunch and outbox the ghost. I don't really see a win for the chicano either. However, i'm not sure I see 1 time stopping him either.
If the Guerrero that fought Floyd shows up , Thurman decapitates him . If the Guerrero that fought Berto shows up , Thurman destroys him . If the Guerrero that fought Komegi shows up , Thurman annihilates him . Keith Thurman slaughters any Version of Robert Guerrero you can think of .
I like Keith. .....but he's in for a rough night. He wants to score a KO over Robert which he has the power to do.......but he's talking as though he's going to war with Robert. Not a good idea. He should box like he did last time. Stepping up to a fighter like Guerrero and banging away in a toe to toe might see him getting knocked out. Robert is more experienced and is crafty. He has power too. Keith is a little faster, more power but he's taking a pretty big step up and looking to score a KO against someone who has never been knocked out. I'm actually favoring Robert myself. I do like Thurman but he's puttin pressure on himself to force an outcome that might hurt his chances at remaining undefeated.
Robert is an excellent boxer. Completely agree. Smart fighter. Dude gets dismissed way too much for his loss to Mayweather. That doesn't mean I don't think Thurman will win, but agree with you that he should be looking to "box" and not "go to war." I agree with IB: Even if you think Thurman will win, this will be a good test for him.
