In reality he was behind on the cards first fight yet seconds from knocking groves out and in reality was ahead in the second groves fight then knocked him the **** out.

I'd love to see Froch in with Golovkin, I'd love to see Golovkin in with someone who can punch as it hasn't happened yet. Murray got through his defence but lacks knockout power. Golovkin at 168 against a bigger stronger man who he he can't push around is going to be very interesting. Whether it be Froch Ward or whoever.

I think hype job is a stupid word and I agree with you that Mclellan was some talent and had huge potential. But in a way Sol8rse is right his CV wasn't that impressive so it was just potential.
I don't think he had poor ring IQ either but his tactics on the night were poor.

Michael Watson had the tools and showed the world how to beat Benn.

back to the OP I think GG and froch would be a great fight. You need a great chin to take on GG and Carl has that.

In what universe is a cv with 19 first round ko,s including julian jackson and mugabi, stopping julian jackson in the first fight in the fifth round when he was 46-1 with 43 knockouts himself. Plus almost blowing away nigel benn in a round and beating roy jones junior in the amatuers where he wasnt especially known as a puncher not that impressive. Especially when you bear in mind his career was cut short at a relatively young age.

As much as i like golvokin. Hes a tremendous fighter. But gerald mcllellan would have knocked him out inside 5 rounds. I m not especially a fan of gerald mcllellan as a man with what i ve heard anyway either. Anyone with spare time on their hands should go back and watch some of mclellans fights even if its just to refresh the memory. Not just the nigel benn one.

    run from Groves?:rofl

he knew second time around if they waited and built the hype how much he was getting paid. Worked a dream for him and Hearn. Even Groves can't complain although he still does.

I think the point is he wasn't a really proven fighter at the top level, had bags of talent but unproven. He probably would have gone on to have a great CV though if the tragedy didn't happen.

It is also obvious your a froch hater, its pathetic

I have seen his fights, but at the end of the day he lost to Benn who also lost to Collins, Eubank & Watson....who by the way the Americans think are **** !!

Froch? I dont particularly like carl froch...thats true. Plus over the years i ve writen him off time and time again from as early as the robin reid fight i thought he got hit way too much for my liking for the top level. But he's certainly made a career out of proving me wrong anyway.

Frochs a good fighter with an interesting style that i dont particularly like to watch. I dont like his tv personality either but in all honesty i think if i knew him outside of the ring personally i d like him.

I pretty much call it like i see it tbh...and telling everyone that your a warrior that takes on all challengers, scared on no one etc etc. Then trys to avoid groves after agreeing to the rematch that everyones calling for. Doesnt want to go anywhere near golvokins when he'd have every advantage in terms of height weight etc normally i wouldnt blame him but if your gonna say your a warrior why not. Allso the ward situation. Plus the dropping the belt to avoid degale. And the talking everyone that will listen that he deserves a retirement fund fight even tho he was paid about 10 million to fight groves. Look everyone i m a warrior...how about we bring over kessler for a third fight. A fight everyone wants to see. Or translate it an easy fight for me that they ve to pay for.

You can give froch the benefit of the doubt in some of them situations. I m just throwing some in there to make my point.

But at the end of the day i m happy that carls had a great career i think he deserves it and he's been a good solid fighter over the years that no one can take away from him. I genuinely dont hate carl froch tho...just calling it how i see it.

Dont let them kid you on samwb.

Run from groves :rofl. Theres a reason froch holed himself down in sheffield training for weeks leading up to the second fight.

boxer trains hard for the highest paying most high profile fight of his career shock.

He won, sparked Groves out unconscious. People still don't want to accept it almost 12 months later.

Whos saying otherwise? But silly to make out that groves was nothing and yet froch employs a sports phycologist for it and holes himself down in sheffield to train harder than ever for it.

whats the big deal? he won, conclusively. seems you get sucked in by the talk and forget what goes on in the ring which is all that matters ultimately.

Perhaps Groves needs the pyschologist? Or maybe a pyschiatrist as it is still eating him up and probably will until the end of his days.

. I dont really care that groves got beat. I m just replying to you making out that it was totally laughable that froch might have tried to avoid the rematch. Comes across like your a massive froch fan...and assuming that i must be a massive groves fan. I m not that big on either of them tbh mate. I ve always rated groves but aware of his weaknesses. Hes also avoiding a degale fight atm for his own reasons himself.
