Let's say Manny decides to dump Freddie Roach and hires you instead for the biggest fight of his life. What would be your blueprint to beat Floyd Mayweather? How do you use everything that remains of Manny's skills and attributes to succeed where dozens of others have failed?

i can give 5 reasons why Pacquiao will beat Floyd but sorry i can't give the details or else i can't go near Pac anymore ever! and he will beat Floyd i'm telling you now.. all i can say is the quick footwork, the power, the workrate, the experience and the heart will be too much for Floyd to adjust.. remember my name! you will praise me on May 3rd.....

Lol@ anyone from ESB knowing how to beat Floyd. Everybody on this forum would be less helpful than Tim Lane when he was in Algieri's corner.

    ffs

Nothing but respects for Tim Lane. He's a good trainer, just wasn't too helpful in his fight vs Pacquiao, seeing as what he was saying in the corner.

So shut your trap, dingus. :hi:

I didn't mean it in a bad way.

Pacquiao does'nt have the style necessary to beat Mayweather, but with the attributes he has, I'd take the approach Marvin Hagler used to beat Tommy Hearns. Hagler trained for a 6 round fight. He gameplaned to pour everything into 6 rounds because he did'nt like his chances to outbox the freakish Hearns.
I'd have Pacquiao go for broke and attack Mayweather Kamakazee style. Bring back the pre-lightweight version of Pacquiao and fight like the Tazmanian devil at a very high pace.

The problem with this gameplan is that if Floyd is'nt ready to go by the 4th or 5th round, Pacquiao's gas tank would be on empty and he'd be a sitting duck by the halfway point of the fight.

Its Pacquiao's only chance to win legitly I feel.

Focus on speed, head movement, lateral movement, cut the ring, and get inside.

If Pac tries to get inside on Mayweather, he would be eaten alive.

Floyd eats him up on the inside.

He would thrash him on the inside, and then step out and continue beating him on the outside. Rinse and repeat until Pac gets broken down. Then May will TKO Him.

This version would get him KTFO, lol. Reign this a little bit back into a more crafty, intelligent Pacquiao and he'll still have a great chance to win. Throw a lot of punches, work at usual high, intense pace. Carelessness is NOT the answer. Be crazy.... but cautious. Lol

Knowing how to beat Floyd isn't necessarily the trickiest puzzle. It's the execution of successfully implementing the right game plan that proves difficult.

When I say "inside" I mean past his reach. Basically, get him to fight at your range. I don't literally mean get in close and fight "inside" lol. No, no. Manny doesn't like to fight that way anyways.

The Manny that beat Barrera in their first fight would have a great chance of beating Mayweather as he was so unorthodox back then

He gets eaten up anywhere in the ring, inside/outside. Anywhere.

If Pac tries to get inside or within his own reach, Floyd will pepper him with vicious rights.

Floyd hits hard enough to get anyone's respect easily and I do not think Pac can handle it. It will be too many right hands.
