    Why so?

As I watched him pummel that Russian with every punch in the book I couldnt avoid asking myself:
"How often do you see a world class boxer land so many flush bombs for so little result".

At world class level he does indeed appear to have no power. :bart

I think like senior he will always be a one off obviously doesn't have GGG power but that kid was extremely tough....look how Murray took GGG,s power for a long time.I think boxing needs Eubank, and he did say himself he was like marmite...I would hope he can provide many nights entertainment.Eubank has got talent and one thing which we have forgotten in the hype associated with him is just how good BJS is think both theses could be good British world champs.

Yeah, I kind of agree that his haye-makers don't seem so concussive.

However, I believe that to be a product of timing more than a lack of power. Once an opponent covers and tenses up for an incoming shot they are very unlikely to be hit out cold. Once Jr gets a bit more experience and learns to snap his punches in a surprise fashion (like his father instinctively knew) and takes opponents unawares or sets traps and has them walk into shots, I think we could see some spectacular one-punch finishes.
One thing's for sure, he does go hell for leather for the KO and that should be applauded even if he falls short at times....

He's definitely not feather fisted. He's heavy handed and his punches are like clubs. The problem is he loads up and doesn't try to throw with massive speed which is what knocks people out. He hits hard which is plain to see. Remember Scott Harrison when he was a feather? Strong and bit hard, but stopped people with sheer strength and accumulation of punches. I think people can be a hard hitters but not necessarily knock out artists.

Wouldn't say feather-fisted but he also isn't packing any megatons. If he were, Saunders or Chudinov would have gone down from some of the quick shots he landed flush.

Chudinov has a good guard. Eubank didn't land flush that often. Except in the 12th where he went to town and the Russian got ground into dust. Chudinov didn't know where he was in the 12th.

He's not featherfisted but he's also far from the killer puncher some make him out to be.

Did it knock Stevens out cold? No! Did Eubank knock Chudinov out cold? No! Did GGG land huge shots all night? Yes! Was Stevens still standing when the towel was thrown in? Yes! Was Chudinov still standing? Yes! Is GGG the hardest hitting middleweight on Earth? Yes!

    Sooooooo

Because Eubank didn't knock Chudinov out cold. Does that make him 'feather fisted'?

    No!

It seems like people forget his early career, lack of power was a concern until they started softening up his competition

Look at Stevens' face when he goes down and tell me that isn't an indication of power. When Eubank Jr knocks someone out of real relevance (or at least makes their legs go) then I'll start considering that he has real power. I'm not claiming him to have light hands, I'm just saying I don't think he is this hard hitter that he seems to think he is

You're completely right, Paddy. Even when CEJ was "knocking out" bin men and road sweepers, he wasn't really ko ing they clean. Even agsinst "that" level of opposition he was literally having to batter the daylights out of em to get his man to ...eventually....fall over or the ref to step in.

That is NOT the sign of a big puncher!

    (Are you paying attention BB?)
