That's actually part of Floyds plan. I dont think Floyd is completely horrible, aside from the woman beating part, I do believe he's genuinely a good person and a large part of how he acts in public is marketing. The reason why he's the bad guy is because he portrays himself as one, must have learned a thing or two from vince mcmahon. Like him or hate him, youre still paying to watch him.

a lot has been said about why they never fought before, i think they both made it difficult. Manny was P4P King for a couple of years with Mayweather making his claim for a crown he thought he never lost. They were enjoying their status at the top of p4p list, knowing facing each other would mean one would be facing the prospect of a loss and losing s****om. For a few years, Manny and Floyd were absolute superstars; they wanted to enjoy the moment before one stole the other's thunder.

Boxing is a tough sport, one minute you are on the top of the hill, next minute at the bottom..with just 1 loss. People forget how huge Manny was when he went through the DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Mosely, Margarerito' tear... had he faced Mayweather and lost, he would've lost some of that star power. Same goes for Floyd... i really think they just tried delaying it for a few years, at the risk of one losing and that's what happened - Pacquiao ended up losing to Bradley and JMM. Thank god that Manny was able to come back strong, if he would've lost to Bradley in their second fight, good bye Manny vs Mayweather.

so let's just appreciate that it's happening, it's been a roller coaster. I really think at 36 and 38 they can produce their best stuff, it will just require hard hard training! Look at JMM, he looked great vs Pacman and he was 40? look at Wlad, he's 38.

I do think that both pac and Floyd are a lil past their prime - just a lil. Comes May 2 knowing that they had to fight the greatest fighter they will encounter would hopefully bring the best in them. Fortunately for us, even if they are not on their prime yet they are still kickin the ass out of the other champions. Because of how good both they are, other boxers just look amateurs against them.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know the exact distance that Floyd and Manny run when they do their roadwork?

floyd usually does 8 or 10 like he claims. manny does significantly less like 3 or more. manny concentrates more on sparring

after all these redundant threads which are in the hundreds now, guess it may have been a better idea to keep this sole thread on the topic lol

    so Pac bets flowing in!

    that's good news.
If mayweather ends up being even or even the 'under dog'...i'll be dropping down even more money on a Floyd win.

didn't want to make a new thread but does anyone know of any Mayweather videos where he talks about boxing in a technical way? like what JMM does on that Golpe show..

I just wondered as it would be interesting to hear his view and breakdown on aspects of boxing since he is one of the most skilled around he doesnt say much in his interviews just the usual mantra like al haymon ect any one got links if it exists? cheers

That would be very cool, but no, few boxers do - part of what makes the fact that Marquez does it so awesome.

Say what you want about Floyd being a nice guy in reality & the obnoxiousness is just hype to sell the fight. Sorry but I don't buy it.
No nice guy EVER beats a woman especially when his kids were made to watch him. Only cowards raise their hand to a woman so I guess that really does make Floyd a coward in my book

Does it sadden anyone else that boxing greats such as Bert Sugar and Emmanuel Steward never got to see this fight?

I`m in the middle of a Pac/Floyd fight marathon , started with Pac , i have to say i forgot how amazing he is , he is one hell of a figher , enjoying my self very much .
should be done in a 2/3 weeks and then a floyd marathon (i also watch the 24/7 and fight camp and the rest of the shows which takes time).
THIS FIGHT IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!!!
