Sakio Bika: The Super Middleweight Scorpion Of The Outback-The Wild Man Of Cameroon

Sakio Bika is a 6'0 35 year old Super Middleweight with a 32-6-3 record. Born in Douala, Cameroon and currently residing in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. I'm writing this thread because I have my fingers crossed hoping for a massive upset when Bika faces Adonis next month. Bika is quite frankly a pretty awful fighter, he's dirty as he can be, his matches aren't boxing they're brawls, he has basically no technique to speak of but maybe that's exactly what it'll take to beat someone like Stevenson. Style clashes happen occasionally with some fighters, however, usually every time the iron chinned Bika gets in the ring its the epitome of a style clash for whatever unfortunate boxer who happens to be in the ring with him at the time, Its a tough task to have to tame Bika's wild awkward frenetic madness that is his insane style. But maybe this madness will pay off in a big way against the one trick pony known as Adonis Stevenson. I see a potential upset in the making similar to what occurred in Porter-Malignaggi, I knew Paulie had no chance based on his stance, with his head and body turned to an overly orthodox position leaving him not only open to Porter left hooks, but also its neck jarring or neck wrenching after effects. The position in which Paulie stood gave Porter's hook far more of an impact on his neck than it should have because it hyperextended everytime the left hook landed, which is very similar to the position to Adonis' neck will be in just from the Southpaw stance. And what is Bika's primary weapon of choice an awkward hookish overhand right. Bika is just awkward and skilled enough to slip enough punches to get a good shot or two in onto Adonis' incredibly fragile glass jaw and maybe luck out and knock him the F out. I know what you're thinking... But, but, but he's just a journeyman....well so is Darnell Boone. Will this be the ultimate cherry pick go wrong, I sure as hell hope it is. Actually he's fought twice before against average opponents at Light Heavyweight and stopped them both.

 

No doubt it won't be easy, but then again when has Stevenson ever had to fight someone as horribly awkward as Bika. It may be just as jarring for Adonis as it is for Bika, and Bika's been in there with top tier boxers like Ward and Calzaghe and made them look bad at times.

 

Don George never went down and it took Stevenson 12 rounds to stop him, I think Bika's has a better chin than George and Fonfara.

 

I'm hoping he KO's Adonis with a flying headbutt, and maybe the ref won't catch it. I hope Sakio wins using any underhanded means necessary, this is one fight I want dirty.
