When did he ever play it safe? His offense versus Chambers was a mess, yeah, but Chambers was the one sucking the air from the room and making it a non-fight, only engaging Berto in spurts (and having success to a surprising degree when he did, but only "SRL-ing" the rounds and not doing enough in each three minute frame) - something Josesito of all people is never going to do.

How is this a farce? That's usually said of mismatches. How is this a mismatch?

Prime Ortiz was an absolute monster. Better than Bradley, Rios, old man Mosley, Algieri, and a non-plastered Margarito that was dismantled badly previously by Mosley.

I agree he hasn't lived up to his full potential, but 2 of his losses were against elite opposition, and the loss against Soto was due to his shoulder being injured.

Both are bums of the highest order especially berto, I remember in a interview berto was saying haymon promises his fighters they will be a ppv star the fact berto is dreaming of being a ppv star is absolutely ridiculous and he needs retire.

Berto got busted up against Guerrero and Soto Karrass

Lopez is a guy like that but not as good

I see his corner telling him to box smart rather than brawl with him

Yeah but is he capable? I think not, which is the reason he got busted up on those nights.

Recent evidence also indicates that Virgil Hunter isn't the best situationally adaptive coach, nor does he always manage to "fix" the guys he undertakes as "fixer-upper" projects, so...

    What a fight .

Josesito always come into the ring to knock his opponents head off , and Berto never backs down from any man who takes the fight to him .

    TOSS UP FIGHT .

    Tale of the Tape:

Berto is 31 years old, standing 5′ 6½″ with 68½″ reach and is the stockier built man, fast & explosive with power about evenly distributed in both fists.

Lopez is 30 years old, with, at 5′ 9½″, a pronounced three-inch advantage, but just half an inch of reach on Berto. He is wiry strong and perhaps the better fundamental boxer.

This is what I'm saying. :deal

Who cares if they ever do anything else afterwards, this night is going to be a slam-bang thriller. (in which they may well ruin one another once and for all)

Might be the best fight PBC has scheduled at the moment.
I think the winner will go the Soto Karass route. Rebuild, get some momentum, face a prospect and end up as a name on someones resume.

There is that small hope that Berto and Virgil manage to turn a new page and present us with a boxer, something that Berto has never been.

And when has Berto ever been in a dull fight? Chambers? If Berto is succh a bum then how come he always drags everyone into a war with him?
Andre Mike Berto is almost as TV friendly as Gatti was. :!:
