Which one is it, Andre? Were you born and raised in Oakland or America? Different things, it seems.

With regards to America, you're "from here". With regards to Oakland, are you "more from here"? I mean you fought in AC which is "here", but you fought "more here" five times you say. I'm confused.

I think Ward should take him up on his offer. I would love to see a rematch.

Please man, I've seen that fight. I've been to Newark many times. It has a small Polish population(yet a very high African American population) and they're just crazy about Adamek. They'll fly anywhere to see him fight.

Just like Hatton's fan's go everywhere he fights, especially during the Mayweather fight. A crowd favorite doesn't make a hometown fighter.

So watching HBO & SHO, you never, and I mean NEVER hear "U-S-A, U-S-A!" chants when Americans fight foreigners? Maybe I hear voices, who knows. American voices at that.

How was it a bad ****ogy btw?

Ward is from CA, fight was in NJ. Lemieux is from QC, fight would be in NS. Check.

Froch is from across the Atlantic, so is N'Dam. Check.

Almost nobody in NJ knew Ward, and I guarantee nobody in NS knows David. Check.

    Where's the glaring issue/gap I missed?

One of the big reasons fighters fighting at home is an advantage is the roar of the crowd from your fans when you land or even almost land. It effects peoples assessment of a fight.

If the Polish community is so small the handful of Polish fans watching Adamek did a great job of drowning out the thousands of imaginary Chambers fans in attendance. It was clearly a pro Adamek crowd.

Either way your definition of a neutral territory is inane. Should judges and referees for sporting events be regarded as neutral if they come from the same country but a different town or state. What is the defined arbitrary distance when a person suddenly doesn't become a hometown official, 10 miles, 100 miles, or perhaps 2031 miles, 11feet, 3 inches and 2 mm.

Atlantic City was as neutral for Froch, as London or Manchester will be for Ward

Andrew Golota is from Poland. Lemon Brewster is from Indiana, a state right next Chicago IL. I want you to on youtube and search Brewster vs Golota. The fight took place in Chicago I think in 2005 or something. Watch carefully during the introduction of the two fighters and tell me whom you thought was fighting in hostile territory. By the way Chicago has the highest Polish population outside of Warsaw. United States is the world's melting pot. Were not ethnically, culturally, and racially as ****geneous as say a country like Japan or Norway. Each ethnic community usually roots for their own guy. There is a reason a black guy from Atlanta may not want to fight Chavez Jr in Los Angeles or San Antonio Texas. Thats because there is a very large Mexican American community in these cities. I don't know, its hard to explain to someone that has never lived in the U.S. You have to live here to fully comprehend what I'm talking about.

With proper drug testing and a neutral ref this would be a damn enticing fight

If he wasnt allowed to butt n clinch constantly, could Ward survive another 12 with The Cobra?

Especially in the Sheriff's home city?

If Carl was to KO Ward then retire he'd have a damn strong arguement as the most dangerous snake in Britain :deal

Don't want to see this fight, we know what happens, possibility of home cooking on the decision aside.

Didn't Froch concede on the recent Ringside special that he can't beat Ward? Or did he say he can't beat him unless he gets a ko?

Either way, I want Chavez or GGG.

I don't think the outcome will be any different. In fact, I think Ward wins even better this time. Froch is near retirement, Ward has a lot left.

You absolutely right that there are clear divided areas of support in America where certain ethnic groups despite having the same nationality will favour their own ethnicity or locality above others just like in the UK we have home and away football matches but this is really only relevant when dealing with fighters or football teams from that country or with those that have a supporting ethnic group in the local community.

Fact is there is no big English ethnic group in the US that could identify with Froch like Ward, no hometown support whatsoever. No where in the US would Froch ever be seen as a hometown favourite like Polish, Mexican or Puerto Rican fighters.

If Ward does fight outside of his hometown in the US unless his opponent has a big ethnic group in the community he will always be the home town fighter. Even American non Ward fans will favour Ward over the overseas fighter if they are without a local support base like Froch.

Ward vs Froch has a Lewis vs Klitchko post fight type of stigma to it. If this fight is to take place, I hope it takes place in England so Ward can shut this Froch****s up about hometown excuses once and for all.

You're probably right. Nothing since the first fight has made me think Froch can make it a closer fight. He's basically the same fighter just older and more shop worn.

When Froch raises his game he usually jabs more and is more thoughtful in his approach but that's never going to work against Ward.
