Ward says Froch is not dictating anything!

Call me crazy, but Enzo might actually beat Ward providing his chin, and face held up....

 

I'm really beginning to despise Andre Ward. I honestly don't know which part of his response annoys me more and I cannot think of a fighter in history who i wish would just disappear.

 

Ward thinks he can just sit on his ass for 2 years, and then waltz back in and start making demands... Very annoying I agree. He should just go to England and rematch Froch if he wants to prove he's back and serious.

 

A lot of vitriol towards Andre Ward?! I'm a bit surprised by that.

Granted, I don't like this sense of entitlement where he feels he can call all the shots. He's only had 1 fight in the last couple years since beating Dawson, and has been inactive now for over a year. So in that sense, he just needs to get back in the ring and get that ring rust off.

But honestly, it's not like he went inactive because he's ducking people. He suffered an injury and was also in a very long, arduous litigation battle with his former promoter. This kind of stuff happens in boxing and causes some great fighters to have an abrupt halt in their careers until they get through the court process (see Mikey Garcia for another example.)

Personally I like ward. He seems like a nice guy, seems to conduct himself in a likable manner outside the ring, and he's taken on all comers for many years now. This is a guy who wiped the floor with his competition in the super 6 tournament.

He just signed with a new promoter a few months ago, hopefully he'll be able to resume his career soon. I want to see him go over to the UK to fight Froch, but I think based on his level of inactivity that a tune-up fight would be the most logical first step before trying to materialize that great SMW fight!

He leaves himself open to a lot of criticism due to the way he has managed his career. He does seem a genuinely nice guy outside of boxing but it's so infuriating as a fan to see him sabotage himself time and again.

After he beat Froch to win the Super 6 he was in prime position to take his career to the next level only one opponent was left to beat and that was Bute. The fight was there on the table but what does he do. He says Bute hasn't proved himself, his number 1 contender is apparently not worthy and Ward decides to take a self imposed holiday for 9 months, 9 months! That's crazy, a few months holiday is fine after such a grueling schedule with the Super 6 but 9 months, madness.

He allows Froch to resurrect his career and then eventually fights Dawson in a master class, showing once again he is head and shoulders above everyone in and around his division and doing so in an entertaining fight. Once again he's poised for s****om.

But then injury strikes and he fights a warm up with Rodriguez. Then having fought only twice in 2 years, does he look to rebuild his momentum? Nope he engages in a lengthy legal battle that sees him out of the ring for over a year and during this time every time he opens his mouth he comes off like a Diva. He doesn't need Froch, he won't travel, if he did he would make more money than Froch/Groves 2. He doesn't show up ringside for the biggest ever money fight in his division, no he sits home and pouts alienating even more fans. He deserves more money, everyone is using his legal problems as an excuse not to fight him, while he fights nobody else either, blah, blah, self deluded blah.

Can you imagine where Ward would be if he had not taken a holiday and beaten Bute? Froch would not have resurrected his career, likely Kessler would have rematched him instead of Froch, Froch would have needed Ward more than he needed him. Throw in a win with Stevenson who was willing to fight him and Ward would be sitting pretty with a even better resume, with potential big fights with Kovalev and GGG. He may have even fought Chavez Jr in a lucrative fight. Instead of being the man in his own division he's playing 2nd fiddle to Froch.

 

Andre Wored doesn't have any bargaining power at all
anymore. He's not the RING champ at '68 and he's not
the #2 p4p fighter either. He's just a guy with an
undefeated record who's fighting style is a box office
killer. Wored needs Froch, not the other way around.

 

Mandated. Only way Froch would go Anywhere near Andre Ward. Froch should.mot have ducked Degale he would've kept his IBF and stood a chance at winnin, as well as making more money.

This will go to purse bids which jay z could win, especially if they're serious about boxing. Froch would drop that belt in a heartbeat.
