    Actually, no, just no.

Tyson was ahead on points at the time of stoppage.

are you a troll? im guessing you came up with this thread after watching the toney holyfield fight thinking the real deal was anywhere near the same fighter he was in 96. Having a look at your other posts i genuinely cant work out if you are a troll on the sly. Toney would stand infront of Tyson, and although he was a shadow of his former self he would still blast out the middleweight within 6 rounds. I cant see how toney keeps tyson(a natural HW) off of him for the first half of that fight. IF (big if) Toney lasts to the latter part of the fight, i believe he starts coming on a little bit and who knows might win a decision which i still see to be very unlikely as i see him going down in more than one round and it would take alot for him to come back from that. Tyson KO imo

I agree, no way does a fat, former mw, with no physical advantages, stand in front of Tyson and win

And yes you're right, he is a sly troll.

Toney was juiced to the eye*****, anabolic enhanced, and hitting old man Holyfield pretty hard in 2003.

I think he has a good chance against 1996 Tyson.
Toney was hard to hit, and a superb counter-puncher.

I don't think Toney could give Tyson the same beating Holyfield gave him, but he might well be able to beat him.

    Agreed.

The other real big X factor would be the Tyson pre-fight preperations. Does anyone really think he bothers to get 100% razoer sharp for a former middlewieght? I sure don't. He'd be lucky to show up with his B game. Might be a C game.

at the same time, I think toney gets himself as good as he can at heavy. Like the Evander fight. He sure was sharp in that one.

I think Toney see's that Tyson launch from the outside with a big shot. It boils down to the follw up. Can or will Mike throw it and connect? Or fight smart and maybe go to the body first and then upstairs to break him down.

I just don't know if Tyson would fight disciplined enough. I tend to think he comes in flat and wings away in there. He comes in at say 60%. And that plays right into exactly what Toney wants. And after about the 5th round, the big punch in the fight is that toney counter right & not the punches from Iron Mike.

Dangerous fight considering everything. Far more devastating loss for tyson than Toney. And then in his next bout or 2, you would see Toney himself come in flat and lose a fight he shouldn't.

I'm only a troll to Tyson nuthuggers like yourself, yeah damn right I'm talking about the Toney that fought Holyfield. Toney would read Tyson like a book and make him miss all night, frustrate him like mad and hurt him with counter shots. Toney's attitude and antics during the fight would make the bully Tyson mentally fall apart. Toney wins late before the final bell.

But Tyson was a lot better in '96 than he was in the McBride fight nine years later.

Because Tyson had some early difficulty with "the style" as they referred to it? I believe Tyson found the correct series of moves to end Buster's brief competitiveness. I've never believed Toney would be all that effective as a heavyweight against certain other heavyweight styles, particularly Tyson's.....as it stood circa 95/96. There would indeed be some success and some rounds, but overall there would be a great toll taken on Toney and at some point his less than stellar condition would tell.

Can't give Toney much of a chance here. Toney is slow on his feet. He's got good inside defense; but, Toney does not clinch. He actually takes some damage when in close. Holyfield was digging some nice hooks into Toney. Tyson's hooks are much more powerful. Tyson probably stops Toney. Maybe the corner throws in the towel if Toney won't go down.
