Kovalev-Pascal - sniffing the upset

if Pascal doesn't take him out inside the first 4 rounds he will get stopped late

 

Taking away the last round of Kovalev-Hopkins, Pascal did connect more often with his punches on Hopkins than Kovalev did. Hopkins fought scared (rightly so) against Kovalev but Kovalev, while winning on pure agression, didn't find Hopkins that much.

Hopkins told Russ Amber that he thinks Pascal will pull the upset.

 

pascal only wins kovalev during a strong man contest.

Cause of his muscle mass, he gets tired quickly.

Id like to see him win though, but i cant see the upset in this one.

Pascal can't KO anyone, therefore he won't win.

 

Kovalev has taken fights that Stevenson has ducked. Stevenson only has his straight left hand, which while formidable is limited. Pascal is a far superior all around fighter, even if he does not have one particularly dangerous weapon like Stevenson.

Beterbiev is definitely dangerous, I am not sure exactly where to rate him h2h at the moment but he certainly has a large danger factor and could easily develop into the next major LHW champ before too long.

 

Pascal and Beterbiev have been training together. Pascal will be use to take hard shot, even harder shots than anything Kovalev can throw.

 

Pascal is getting brutally knocked out in this one. He can't and won't survive against someone like Kovalev with his stamina issues. Eventually Kovalev will get to him(most likely late in the fight) and take him out.

 

Artur decamped apparently, but yeah, he's trained plenty with Jean in the past - do you really think they trade full blooded punches in sparring? Artur has incredible pop especially at short range but doesn't match Kovalevs mobility or use of range and angles... apples and oranges.

 

Hopkins won't back a white boy even if that white boy just shut him out.

 

Bute hurt Pascal badly late in the fight. Kovalev hits a lot harder than that. I also think Pascal might be a bit past it.

 

Sergey KRUSHER Kovalev will knockout pascal in the rounds of 5-8. Pascal chin is good but he hasn't faced the punching power of the KRUSHER. He's open and not hard to hit!
