Good move on Quillen's part. Craig, like Andy Lee, is a southpaw, and his experience of fighting Lee and outboxing him for the majority of the fight will help Quillen prepare no end.

Being from Edinburgh, I hate to agree with you.

I had to unfollow him on Twitter with all his postings about LA. Seems to think the world owes him something.

I really don't rate Craig Mc at all. Doubt he will be of any benefit to Quillen. Macklin used him for his last fight...and we all saw how that went, didn't we.
The fact that he was behind against Craig is a pretty poor reflection of Andys skill level IMO....same with Jackson and Korobov....one of these days (probably against Quillin, actually) Andy is going to get found out badly I'm afraid, when the get out of jail punch fails to arrive in time to save him....

I trained Craig for a short spell and let me tell you he had skill way beyond the average fighter, however he hardly ever gave 100% in the gym everyday which let him down badly, he wouldn't listen to good advice given and generally made the wrong choices, he had a interim world title shot lined up till he messed up and also offered BJS and he refused it.
Craig's a family man and I'd personally like to see him remain in boxing in some capacity has he's got a wealth of knowledge he can pass on but I think he can't let go of the past

To be honest I don't much about Craig McEwan at all.
As you mention about his skill and potential, if he had the right attitude, made better choices and had a good team, what level do you as a trainer think he could be at currently?

Dno about Billy but personally I've got him below British. Ryder, O'Kane, Blackwell and Etches all beat him for me.

I can't say I ever saw all that much to impress me about Craig, Billy, but anyway...

How do you think Andy Lee will get on with Quillin?
