but having extra weight usually adds to the force of your punch. I've started to hit harder again since I have put on more pounds (my power faded a lot when I quit weights years ago).

doesn't necessarily mean you can use it though - that's what you are saying.

primo was a top HW who could use it fairly well, but he was not a knock out king of course. H could have ben a lot better at hitting hard, like several super HWs, Wlad and Valuev amongst them.

How do you account for his wonderful ko percentage then?

he didn't know how to use it well.

bit like Wlads KO record drops off when he fights someone live whom he needs to run away from for 12 rounds. Wlad doesn't know how to hit hard AND stay safe against them.

So a larger fighter is at a disadvantage against a smaller one as far as stopping him ? This is patent nonsense.:patsch

Carnera fought plenty of men his size and larger:
Ray Impellitiere 6' 7.5" Carnera finally ground him down for a 9 rds tko when the ref Dempsey rescued him on his feet. A year later moderate puncher Bob Pastor stopped Impellitiere in 7rds. Six feet nine and a half Victor Campolo went the full 12 rounds with Carnera.

According to his record he WAS a ko artist 71kos in 88 wins for a near 70% ko record says so .
So how does this gel with him not being a big puncher, that is my question ? I know the answer ,what I'm trying to do is lead you to it!

    What?????

You think Carnera has a chance against Marciano?

Carnera couldn't fight. He had a glass jaw , he couldn't punch hard, he had no defense. He would be a punching bag for Marciano

This fight would end in a highlight KO reel for Marciano

    Yea good post it's laughable

Carnera was a circus clown who was involved in fixed fights.

Marciano would have teed off on Carnera the way he destroyed the 300lb punching bag he trained with

Watch the harder they fall . Great movie. Carnera was a joke

I would love to hear from Carnera supporters what fighter primo beat with the punching power stamina strength durability skill and greatness of a prime Marciano?

They said it was," sweeping power with not enough jolt to deliver a ko.," and they said" ponderous sweeping lefts "and Neusel retired with a cut eye caused by an elbow. Carnera was never a big puncher which brings into serious question his" 71 kos".
