This is a great fight. This is the fight we all wanted. Everything about this fight is perfect except for the timing.

The reality of this fight is that neither fighter will be the same after. The violence promised by these two names colliding is greater than anything we've seen in years. It is LIKELY that they will ruin each other in this fight.

Provodnikov has never been hard to hit. He WILL eat flush shots from possibly the hardest puncher in the sport.

Matthysse's chin has been looking less iron than usual since Garcia. Provodnikov, even in his losses, has laid a beating on every opponent he's ever fought.

My fear is that such a great, rare fight will not receive the attention it deserves. Reports of ringside seats going for $75 is saddening. This could be the brawl of a decade, and it is likely to be wholly eclipsed by Mayweather-Pacquiao. This battle will rage, and a Pacquiao tweet of "just took a dump. now shadowboxing. feeling fast" will garner more attention.

    I hope I'm wrong

I like both fighters. I can't win, I want them both to win. However, I have to give Matthysse the edges because he is a better boxer than Provodnikov, but two fighters people want to see. I think they will both be winners................

Ruslan is not afraid, he said he takes into account that he might end up on a stretcher after this fight, Lucas is also fearless

I don't care who wins, I just want both these warriors to be OK after the fight

It's a great fight on paper and will be in the ring but an awful fight for the fighters. It will take a lot out of them, unfortunately.

good thread. it is a shame such an intriguing war isn't getting the notice it deserves. i think Provo is the one who's going to get beat up, but he can take it.

you never know it maybe less painful then we think it would be :) if one of them gets knocked out quicker

I like both these fighters so for me the perfect outcome few good rounds then one of them gets stopped

Im in the exact opposite corner.

    I like Mathysee, but I don't think he's got Provo's punch resistance.

He's obviously not gonna look to be slick(THOUGH HE CAN), and without a super tight defensive strategy, someone with Provos relentless attack, combined with iron chin and will of a god........not gonna end well for Mathysee.

And hopefully, it's over early enough that he can recover fully and still compete. :-:)-:)-(
