Only if you very delusional. Comparing 1930´s heavyweight to modern day heavyweights is like comparing a Spartan hoplite to a modern day US marine.
atsch Baer stops him. Povetkin hasn't shown that he is even near that level nor does he have the tools needed.
Baer = HW champ of world, undisputed, and Against a weak HW titlist like Wlad, Pov was shut out (albeit lots of cheating from wlad) . Against a HOF champ, Pov gets stopped.
really, how does 60 years compare to 2000 years? no it doesn't, ther only time it does is when boxers one day in the far 30th century get robotic guns implanted in their arms and the rules get changed so they can machine gun their opposition. Dump marine in athens with Athenian weapons, and hes toast. now stop with the Bull.
Well you're a cynical clown who doesn't look things objectively, and obviously let your disdain towards the current HW division cloud your judgement... Because for one Wlad is definitely a future HOF, probably gets in not long after he retires.. Baer would be a bum today, too much of a gap in the skill/training methods of then/now, and he was always know as a slacker. Which is why a bum like Braddock managed to beat him.
Boxing isn't about who is big enough to lean and bully people around the ring like K nuthuggers like you think it is. In a boxing match , Louis cracks Wlad glass chin within the first couple of rounds. Wlad knew he couldn't out box Povetkin. Don't talk about Joe Louis.
Sorry. I'm a realist, I know that most of the Pre-Liston heavies wouldn't be able to compete in the modern era like they did in the past.
Modern day fighters wouldn't be able to compete in the pre -Liston era. If modern day fighters are so advanced , how come they can only fight twice a year?
