I agre that´s why I rate the Spartan Hoplite with a higher chance. Maybe his shield will take most of the bullets They wont they physically not trained to receive hits from modern day boxers. On top of that Modern day boxer full of peds. It would be a ****ing slaughter. And thats why its so absurd that anyone claiming a 1930 boxer would have a chance vs a 2015 boxer.
US marine vs Spartan warrior ? the Marine will win only if he has a gun and a clean shot. i guess your ****ogy is bad .... but you shouldve went something like : Bob Cousy from the 70`s to CP3 from today , its not even close.... bottom line i agree that the better boxers are in the current era no matter what the fantasy fighters say , Sport has evolved , speed/stamina/power has progressed with training/nutrition there is no way that with equal or close talent a figther from the 30`s can handle today HW. unless you guys are saying that back then the more talented figthers were born ? which is of course a farce to claim. you can claim someone from a decade (maybe 2 tops) can beat current figthers , but 80 years ago ?? no ****ing way.
Modern heavyweights like David Haye drink Desperados. Most boxers in 2015 are probably on the dole. Alex Leapai trains full time ?
Two decades at the maximum yeah? So the 80s and below had fighters unable to beat current fighters? Ali, Louis, Robinson, Frazier, Basilio, LaMotta , Monzon, Walcott etc etc...The list goes on and on. All those greats have no chance against the guys of today? Take away Wlad from todays era. Who beats Joe Louis or Ali?
They weren't physically trained to receive hits from modern day fighters? Look at the gloves they used, and the number of rounds they fought, and the number of fights they had etc? Who out of today's top 20 HW's would you back to beat a guy like Joe Louis? Just look at today's top 20.
I was just watching a bunch of old Cassius Clay interviews and fights, and during one interview he was talking about how nutrition and medicine was so much better currently (1963ish) than it was during Joe Louis' and Jack Dempsey's time and that modern day hws(again talking 60s) would destroy the old timers because they were fighting at around 180 lbs and modern hws were 215. Now that was back in the 60s, imagine the progression from then till now. Povetkin destroys Baer
You could argue for a lot of guys. Considering Louis' defense, it wouldn't take much from present heavy hitters to stop him, especially if they have significant height/reach advantages and make a well use of jab. Also, I don't see any of the present top well-schooled, disciplined boxers having much of a difficulty against the smaller Louis. He just has no place being compared to the modern top heavies.
