No. What I'm saying is two is greater than one. Povetkin can go left, right and straight whereas Baer is straight in. The old saying I heard around the gym since the late 70s was a whole fighter beats half a fighter. Baer is closer to "half a fighter" while Povetkin is closer to the "whole fighter".

This guy thinks Holmes from the 70's couldn't beat anybody today and Roy Jones would be lucky to have a win or two.

    Best leave him to it.

Fair enough. But wouldnt power also be a factor? And for the record, i never said Baer would beat Povetkin. I do like his chances considering the Huck fight though.

    I agree.

Very similar, Baer and Huck, skillswise. But I'd say Huck has 2-3 inches on him, and about 12-15lbs of lean muscle.

Also.....that was about the chubbiest we'd ever seen Potvetkin.

So, yeah, on Potvetkins worst night, and Baers best........I'd take Baer to take a points win over 15 rds. Maybe a 13th or 14th rd stoppage.:think

I just checked, Baer is actually taller with a longer reach.

To entertain the very concept of a Max Baer beating Aleksandr Povetkin can only come from the darkest recesses of the most disturbed, bigoted, agenda laden minds polluting this ethereal plain of boxology.

I dont know, did they? Tyson was listed as 5'10" and a half to 6" tall. Accordi.g to Vinny Paz in a picture i questioned him about hes only about 5'9". Ive met Marvin Hagler more than once, i can can tell you hes not more than 5'7". So is there a difference between then and now? If so how do YOU know who is or isnt lying? :huh
