Fielding is starting to clip Fedotovs with long lead left hooks on the bottom of the jaw now. Fielding is jabbing into the guard at long range and then shoveling in rights on the gut. Fedotovs is dipping and bending away, shelling up, pawing with up-jabs on the backfoot and trying to slice across the gap with left hooks that don't come near Fielding.

I understand he is coming off an injury and layoff but this is a poor performance against a poor partner.

Fielding is ranked ahead of Paul Smith nationally (and there are rumbling of them meeting in some kind of domestic clash, though not for the Commonwealth title as Fielding was stripped of that and Blackledge vs. Cameron will be for the now vacant title) but to my eyes wouldn't stand ½ a chance with him.

 

Either Smith would batter him.

Doubleheader but Mares is going to be shown on delay on NBC Sports is what I heard.

 

Round 4

Fielding is doing more of the same. One gear, single jabs, pushed and not snapped. Very little variety in his movement, just sort of plodding around flat-footed and spraying punches at the much shorter-armed Fedotovs, getting by on activity and superior reach. Little coming back from a mostly defensive Fedotovs, just the odd high jab or hook swept halfheartedly at the face.
