thats funny, because im pretty sure of what is driving the opinions on haymon from posters like yourself, pimp c, blizzy blizz, and a few dozen alts between em. when its obvious, you just disregard their opinion and let them live in their safe, make believe world.
:rofl you're dumb. How can you say get rid of Haymon and he is ruining boxing when this whole event is because of Haymon.
They need to get behind proper fighters like Gonzalez, Estrada, Inoue, Yamanaka, Uchiyama & Kell Brook. Stop trying to brain wash the general public with fixed fights into thinking the likes of Broner is anything more than a club fighter.
You obviously hated Haymon before the broadcast last night and yet you STILL watched it so you must not hate him that bad. Oh and by the way... YDKSAB
He is a boxing promoter. Not a charity organizer. He does this to make money. He is in the begining phases of starting his PBC. Soon, it won't seem so nice. Think of many tech start-ups, they offer their app/service for free. Once they gain a lot of users/reputation they begin to charge for it. Haymon will grow his PBC brand into something like the UFC, and in the eyes of the casual it will be the premier place to watch boxing. Then he will move it off network TV and to PPV online streams most likely. Those fans, now hooked on PBC will purchase it. The danger of having a closed system like the UFC is you can have hypejobs everywhere and no one but hard-core fans like ourselves can tell. They pit C level fighters against each other, and since its the brand that is giving the fighter the draw, they don't need to pay them jack ****. "BUT TINFOIL HAT, HAYMON IS PAYING THEM SOOO MUCH MONEY"... Of course he is. As soon as the brand can stand on its own those big paychecks will stop. This is what PBC is, and if you can't see that YDKSABUSINESS Classic bait and switch tactic, he will pay the fighters **** and since all other boxing has no credibility due to the popularity of the PBC brand, fighters will have no where else to go. He can also just sign **** talent and fight them against **** fighters when the good fighters leave/quit/try to strike. Casuals won't know the difference between real fighters and scabs. (casuals will make up the vast majority of PBC fans soon)
ok. you are one of a handful of posters who only follows boxing because watching a black guy win makes you feel better about yourself. since this is the focus of your attention, anything that seems to contradict your focus (like the posters comment that you quoted), will automatically cause a sharp pain in your butt. its glaringly obvious, but most posters wont point it out because they are afraid of being labeled a racist for seeing the obvious. me, i just dont gaf.
pbc needs better fighters. bums like broner, peterson, quillin, berto, etc aren't going to win any new fans. you're only going to bring in the same niche audience you had on showtime.
the whole Haymon PBC has been done before by SRL and ODLH. Its gonna fail on TV cause boxing is a joke. Its now about a fighter making the most money(which is fine) but the fans dont care about that. The fans want to see the best fighting the best. Not mismatches.
I was actually okay with the announce team EXCEPT FOR Marv Albert...my god he was horrible haha..sorta took me out of the fight, that and the corny ring entrances, but I mean we cant ***** too much having higher profile boxing on network tv for free again, i'll find a way to handle marv albert and cornball theatrics for free boxing
Pointing out what is seen as a negative to some gents is the only input they have to offer. They have no possible solutions or ideas that might improve the project, only negative garbage fueled by their personal dislike for an individual. There were some things that I felt could have been done different but I applaud the effort and believe that is the beginning of bigger and better things to come. I will say this, it was much better than that farce that HBO presented from China.
