I think he needs to make a few changes in his set up if he wants to make a run at this welterweight division. He boxed well enough for the first 4 or so but then when thurman started moving and upping his game Gurerro looked lost until he went ***** out in the 11th. I was so impressed with his heart and the way he wasn't phased taking those shots and came back at Thurman but he's caught in between two styles. The crossfit did nothing for him he seemed low on gas , strength and quickness. I think he needs to get a proper trainer and really work on his boxing and would need to get a bit stronger. He isn't realy suited to brawling but he needs get men to the point where he can out will him. Ruben isn't doing much for him, he has to do something if he wants to hang with the other top welterweights or drop down.
I think it wasn't as much a gameplan as it was just the case of Thurman being far too talented for him.
Yeah I know but I think someone with gurrero's heart and will can give a better account of himself than he is. He needs to do something so he can hang with these welterweights and I think he can but needs a new set up
He came up from the lighter weights. I think he should give 140 a try, as long as he can make the weight class comfortably. I think he could end up being a champion at 140 lbs. He has to work on a few things in the gym (he needs to work on his jab a lot,) but I could see him being a player in the JWW division.
I agree he didn't look tight at all I'm sure he could lose some of that soft weight. At 140 he'd have a far better chance he has something but I still think he needs to make a call and go in a different direction
