wasn't that grabomir-povetkin ref Louis Pabon? the same guy who let Martin 'Low-Blow' Murray try to turn Golovkin into a soprano all night?

Povetkin was instigating many clinches himself, kept bull rushing in with his head down... It was a dirty fight all around, it wasn't just Klitschkos doing.

Keep on complaining, Wlad keeps on winning and you keep on whining.

While Wlad does clinch a lot in general the Povetkin fight took it to an excessive level. There should have definitely been point deductions but I guess if the referee allows you to do it then why stop if it's advantageous.

Jesus an awful fight to watch.

    A very sour fight indeed.

Both guys should've been DQed but i have to say Wladimir did much more than Povetkin.

That was the ultimate ****show. Illegal clinches literally every 10-15 seconds and a ****load of wrestling slams counted as knockdowns.

Seems like when Klitschko's opponents count on the "make a street fight out of it, don't box Klitschko, brawl him," this is what happens. Klitschko quits boxing and starts brawling so there's clinching and manhandling instead of punching.

I'm a Wlad fan too but it was awful to watch Povetkin didn't help matters and even when he did have space couldn't land anything meningful. Wlad should have taken him out early though, bad bad fight!

    There are shades of gray.

For one, Potvetkin was lunging headfirst under Wlad's octoarms early on.

Jumping in, headfirst, is gonna result in getting leaned on.

Do you warn Potvetkin or DQ WLad.

Point being, a fair judge would have warned both contestants to fight at range, which would have resulted in Potvetkin being KO3d.:deal

The fight was terrible, but I Povetkin was just as much at fault for basically rushing in and not even looking to throw anything over and over again. Would have been good to see both fighters disqualified and the fight declared NC!

If Wlad had of been deducted a point or 2 Povetkin would not have seen the end of the match Wlad would have went on the attack and KO'd him. He dropped him what 4... 5.... 6 times I forgot. The hugging helped Povetkin as much as it did Wladimir.
