Errol Spence Jr is one of Mayweather's sparring partners for the Pacquiao fight. He's a southpaw and has sparred Pacquiao a while ago, but as of now is working with the Mayweather camp in preparation of Mayweather/Pacquiao.

He's already been sparring with Mayweather. Nice kid and was asked who he thinks will win. He says he thinks Mayweather will outbox Pacquiao, but it will be a very tough fight. He added that his prediction is Mayweather on a split decision. This is quite interesting.

Sparring Pacquiao, he said he is very fast, very explosive, and throws a lot of punches. Sparring Mayweather, he said he is very smart and you have to always be on your toes because he's constantly trying to find your weaknesses.

He thinks Pacquiao has the speed and explosiveness to catch Mayweather and to make it a close enough fight to make it a SD.

Now, the reason the SD is interesting is because Mayweather's camp has a ton of people coming out proclaiming how Mayweather is absolutely destroying his sparring partners and knocking them out. If this was the case, and Mayweather is as powerful and destructive as those inside the camp are saying, then wouldn't this sparring partner be saying, "Oh, Mayweather will win easy." No, he's saying it's going to be an extremely close fight.

If Mayweather was destroying these southpaws as his camp's been reporting, then I doubt one of those southpaws would be thinking Pacquiao has good chance to win.

Is Mayweather really dominating these southpaws as much as we are hearing? The way Judah was describing it on Showtime, it seemed staged. It's all starting to appear staged because everyone involved has to bring it up and tell the media. Yet here, the sparring partner is talking less of a destructive Floyd, but of a "smart boxer" who will only get by on a split decision.

    What do you think?

SD? How can 1 person predict SD? You either pick Floyd or Manny by decision. Sounds like he's not sure who's gonna win.

I think all the rumors of Floyd knocking sparring partners out is fake. Unless he's got so much pent up anger against Pacquiao and he's going to release something we've never seen before, I doubt it. Can't wait to see their clash of styles.

No, but why would he? All he's saying is it's going to be really close, coming from someone who's witnessing first hand of Mayweather's performance towards southpaws so far.

As said above, picking a split decision is kind of silly. Either you feel one fighter will win or the other will win, although it may be a close fight. I've seen people on here (extreme Pac fans) not only pick a split decision but also give the scores, which is ridiculous. Since Spence said a split decision, I was wondering whether he went one step further and also gave the scores.

Plenty of people has said it's true coming from those you'd expect to want to promote Mayweather and make him look good.

That's why I'm skeptical. Then, some of it just seems staged. Like when Judah spoke to Showtime... it almost sounded like he was getting paid to say it, lol. Not saying he is, that's just the feel I got.

When we ask a sparring partner how the sparring is going, he isn't saying Mayweather is super strong and aggressive. He says he's "smart" sounding as if he's using a defensive, technical approach that we're all familiar with.

I just feel that if Mayweather really was knocking out all this partners, then a partner (who's witnessing this) would be more confident about Mayweather winning. Instead, he feels Mayweather will win an extremely close decision and that Pacquiao will be able to catch him.

Is that sarcasm? Are you hyping Floyd up just in case Manny loses? MVC is as bad as you but at least he's consistent lol

    I think it's a realistic prediction.
    As is a draw.
    Something controversial and disputable.
More likely and desirable if Pacquaio wins in that fashion though, so we get a rematch and another zillion dollar payday.
If Mayweather wins a close one, he'll probably do a Ray Leonard and refuse the notion of a rematch.

SD means the scorecards have already been written and some well connected people will hit the jackpot at the bookie's office

Spence is not in the mayweather gym to know if Floyd has been knocking sparring partners down or not his opinion is not valid:hi:

Why do you only pick spence as a example plenty other sparring partners said Floyd is going to knock out pac
