The Al Haymon model is no nonsense - all about the boxing without any of the packaging or razzmatazz

The German model has laser shows, mega entrances + Rock bands etc

Sky are bang in the middle

I like the differences but I think the Sky/British model is the far better one. In American the ring walks have no drama whereas the Germans milk it to the extreme

    What do you prefer?

German ones are pretty cringe worthy. The Haye Klitchko fight was ridiculous.

think the british way is about right, should be left to the fighters to some degree on how they want to enter aswell. Prince Naz's lasted longer than most of his fights did!

you've got to factor in the crowds in Germany and UK tend to be bigger than USA ones bar mayweather so they'll put a bit more into the overall package. I think the promoters use the ring entrances more for attending supporters rather than the tv audiences too.

i remember seeing a german event and the DJ was dropping hip hop bangers all night.

i would love that in the UK.

I really like the German ones. Hypes up the fight for me with the massive entrances

Forgive me if I'm wrong, I wasn't there but on TV Froch-Groves II looked an awful lot like a big German event with the glitzy ring entrances.

The main event razzamatazz is what makes/builds the atmosphere over here. Undercard fights can be very quiet so I think the extended build-up, mainly because the shows are televised, adds to the excitement and I like it! :happy

It generally only happens at the big televised events. Non-televised, small hall events are virtually the same in Germany as they are in the UK. I've never seen any laser shows either and to say that the German's "milk it to the extreme" is way off.

I have the feeling that in Germany, boxing is more of a night out with the missus whereas in the UK it's a night out with the lads.

I like the German way/Sky back in the day way of doing it, but only in the main event.

I wish Tyson Fury would make his entrances more entertaining but I guess the money isn't there for flashy entrances over here.

The Al Haymon production is a bit too bare bones for me. I thought Adrian Broner could have been introduced to the mass audience in a WWE Bad Guy style. He is a natural for the role and could get cult following as a result

The Vitali return vs Samuel Peter was the best fight entrance I have seen

Best British build up was Benn v Eubank - 'In the air tonight'

That was the best part of the night mate.

Spectacular ring entrance for Wlad followed by a very poor fight.
