    Povetkin wasn't really able to do anything. Whenever they got close(where he does great) he was immediately held and when they were distant Wladimir dominated with the jab. Povetkin knew that his only chance was on the inside and so did Wladimir, which is why he held nonstop.

    At lest Ruiz would let his hands go and fight out of the clinch. Wlad shuts down one of the best aspects of boxing illegally because his chin is krap and his skills are average.

    Yet I'm sure if Ward did that, and he does do that, you consider him a master boxer for it. At least Wlad wasn't headbutting him constantly.

    The post Steward Wlad lost to both Williamson and Brewter in less than 6 rounds and was almost knocked out by a skill-less , caveman swinging Peters.

    In my opinion, Povetkin has definitely showed he deserves a rematch at this point. A rematch with a completely different (and neutral) referee.

    That first encounter was indeed awful -- spoiled by all of the holding, wrestling, and draping.

    Tyson-Holyfield was a case of both fighters fighting for position and walking into clinches.
    When you get to aggressive fighters like that the clinch in many circumstances is inevitable.
    Unlike Wlad, Holyfield and Tyson were fighting out of many of the clinches.

    Wlad does not fight out of clinches. He holds on for dear life and lets the ref come to the rescue.

    Wlad vs Povetkin 2 would be better than any other fight in HW but with a good ref who doesn't allow the constant cuddling and is aware of the pushes Wlad resorts to to get a knock down in pretty much every fight.
