“I hope the reports were true. He should be aggressive during our fight so we can make the fans happy. We all knew how he fights. In fact his previous fights lulled me to sleep,” Pacquiao said laughing.

Pacquiao claimed he respects Mayweather and his achievements atop the ring.

“But his previous fights bored me. I hope, this time he would be man enough to take some risks. He should prove to the world that he’s a real and fearless fighter, not a runner,” Pacquiao said.

The eight-division boxing champion said the May 2 encounter with Mayweather would become exciting and memorable only if the latter decides to engage him toe-to-toe.

“This fight should live up to its billing. We owe this to the fans. They should get the kind of entertainment they want,” Pacquiao said.

The Fighter of the Decade added “If the reports were true, then, it’s a welcome development. That’s what my camp wants - for him to become aggressive inside the ring.”

A delighted Restituto “Buboy” Fernandez, Pacquiao’s assistant trainer, said “If that is true, then, the fight is over.”

Fernandez believed that the fight would not last the full distance if Mayweather decides to engage Pacquiao in a slugfest.

But knowing Floyd, Fernandez said, he’s a “play it safe” kind of fighter.

“I doubt if in Floyd’s case his trainer can teach an old dog new tricks. I believe that once he is hurt he would revert to his old fighting style,” Fernandez said.

No coward is looking really good in the gym knocking down sparring partners he should put pac on the backfoot from the opening belt and assert his "dominance"

But we all know he is going to run don't we :yep

Reckless, if you're going to call people "brain dead" you better learn to spell.

Sounds like you are lining up excuses. Why was it OK for Chris to go in there and box PAC? You seemed to suck off Chris's boxing skills and "lumpy" jab as you said but when its floyd boxing you call it running? Why the hypocrisy?

    Also, post source.

There's no way Manny said that. It took Manny many many years just to say "nothing personal, just doin my job.... talk to my promoter."

    :good

Pac would need to be dressed up as one of Floyd's ex chicks to get some aggression into Floyd. Otherwise Floyd will pull off his usual "throw a jab-sprint for your life while shoulder rolling" with his about to cry face.

Floyd will box circles around Pacman and win a boring UD12. People will cry around but it is what it is.

Floyd will hit and not get hit, Pacquiao will be frustrated if the old Floyd shows up. He knows his only real chance to beat Floyd is to make him fight aggressively.

Honestly that's probably pacman's only chance to beat this guy.

And there's no guarantee even if Mayweather does come out aggressive and trades with him in the pocket that Manny could beat him- Floyd's more accurate, can evade punches with ease and is an elite counterpuncher in close quarters.

I really am looking forward to their press conference which I believe is tomorrow. I always favored Floyd because he's the naturally larger guy in the ring with almost a half a foot reach advantage which is one of the biggest advantages for a master boxer like him in this kind of fight. I just want to see what they physically look like next to each other when they square off tomorrow in the press conference.
