While how good this company is remains to be seen, but since it appears to be a NY promotion company, I think it makes great sense for Cotto as he has a large fan base there.

In my opinion, Roc Nation over paid Cotto. I'm a fan of Cotto (although I felt he *****ed out of a canelo showdown when it was highly anticipated), but he's not worth $50mil for 3 fights at this point in his career.

That's what I was thinking as well. This could essentially mean that Cotto could become a full time MSG fighter, and with the huge Puerto Rican population in NY, I'm sure he'll sell out the garden everytime he fights.

It all depends on the opponent. I've been to pretty much every single one of Cotto's fights at MSG and the only time I've seen it at a sell out was against Martinez.

Cotto wont sell out MSG fighting guys like K9. The average casual Cotto fan doesn't even know who the hell K9 is! Cotto needs high caliber fights against the likes of Canelo and GGG.

I'm actually from NY myself, but I've never seen Cotto fight at the Garden. I'm surprised to hear that it's not always a guaranteed sell out. What would you say he normally averages when he fights during the PR day parade?

I thought it was a packed house when he fought Trout, a guy that really has no name on a mainstream level.

I cant give an exact amount but I can honestly say that his fights aren't always a complete sell out. I remember being surprised at how many empty seats there were for the Clottey fight. Cotto/Judah was a packed house but still saw some empty seats. Cotto/Martinez was pretty packed as well with very few sporadic seats available.

Anyone with a brain already knows Bob Arum is a snake. There's a reason why guys like Oscar, PBF and now Cotto have left him for greener pastures. Mikey Garcia, Chavez Jr and Rigo have been screwed by him as well.

Cotto is not **** top rank wont lose money on him anyway..........

Pac of course like anyone else in boxing maybe has made bad business moves but you have to remember arum also did his part in building him fighters need promoters I just don't see why you fail to understand this crucial point.

Pac gets paid very well even when his contract expired arum and hbo did everything they could for him to resign with hbo/toprank even putting in extra money just to keep him in hbo.

Pac gets 25 mill guarantees for each fights and and fights once a year in china and he gets to keep all of that without paying tax in china.

in his last 2 fights with Bradley and aligeri he has made nearly 50/60 mill:hey

Arum has put all his energy on pac that's why the likes of cotto get annoyed.

cotto is feeding of crumbs as he should he thinks he is some big shot whats the biggest money has has made so far? probably not more than 10 mill

You know the sport of boxing is in bad shape when fans are rooting for fighters business decisions rather than or before rooting for who they should be fighting!

We're fans. The only thing that should matter to us is that we get the best bang for our buck when tuning in to see these fighters. Especially if we're paying for it via ppv or cable subscription. Boxers have advisors, managers, accountants, etc... Let them worry about a fighters financials! I can give a rat's azz how much money a fighter makes. I don't see a dime from it.

He always sells out the garden there may be some empty seats but its like a knicks game when they are 10-40 still sold out but you see some empty seats, against a non household name in trout he sold msg out

Good for Cotto. Whether or not he faces GGG he's still a HOF'er
who earned it while making Jew Arum a sh-tload of $$$ in
the process. Cotto owes Jew Arum NOTHING and slavery was
outlawed over 160 yrs ago. Time for Cotto to move on and
keep the lion's share of his hard earned $$$ from now on.
With that being said, he should defend against triples or vacate
the RING title, like he himself said he would.

If you feel fighters owe their promoters NOTHING then they should promote and fund their own shows. I don't think you understand how much money promoters invest in building up fighters the way TR built Cotto from the ground up.

I've been to every Cotto fight at MSG. Have you? Believe me when I tell you that all his fights aren't sell outs.

Dude, Cotto isn't a contender budding into future championship
level fighter. He's a long reigning A level fighter who's been
making Arum alot of $$ for years. Jew Arum got his ROI 10
fold a while back. You're delusional or an Arum staff member
if you think Cotto has obligations to him. F-ck off bloodsucker!
