Watch the fight again, it was a fair stoppage - Maduma was out of it. The ref can stop the fight at any time regardless of how long is left on the clock. There could be 2 minutes left in the round or 2 seconds, it doesn't make any difference: he must protect the fighter.
Kevin Mitchell threads always end up with "If a well prepared / in form Kevin Michell turns up.." Campbell would be my pick.
Too soon to even predict this really, still lots of unknowns surrounding Campbell, how hard does he actually hit, Can he take a shot, is he slick enough at the top level, as of now Mitchell would win on experience alone, but in 2 years time who knows.
I get your point but the mitchell wins on experience alone is a very silly comment. Campbell has stopped 8 of 10 opponents few of which are proven to be tough and some never stopped. Not only does he hit hard but he hit clean and often. Campbell very rarely gets hit clean good footwork and defense. But i can tell you he has never been down Amateur, pro or sparring. So thats all we can go on regarding his chin. Being slick at top level? Hes a olympic and European gold medalist so he has the skill set. Like i say my only concern would be engine. He needs a couple of 12 rounders at a good pace. As for sparring iv seen him spar burns mitchell cardle ogogo stalker as well as many top ams maxwell ect and iv said were my money would go
Haven't you heard that Luke can dominate 140 and 147?, this 135 fighter called Mitchell will be no match for MASSIVE Luke.
