To me this is the death knell for a fighter to request this. It says I know I can't out box you, and the only way I stand a chance is for you to abandon your boxing skills and fight my fight. I actually can't recall a fight where a fighter has asked his opponent to "fight" him and the requester having won. This tells me Pac sees the writing on the wall, he knows he should not have even said this but, a shot in the dark is better than no shot at all I guess he figures. I expect to see a look of puzzle and bewilderment for the vast majority of the fight on May 2nd. Has anyone ever heard of a fighter telling his opponent to fight like a man and that requestor winning?...I haven't or don't recall.

Exactly what I was thinking, desperation, man I was holding out some hope that this fight would be decent at least...that's just about all gone now, oh well, at least it'll be fun toying with Pac****s emotions.
It doesn't mean Pac doesn't think he can't win if Floyd boxes? He just knows it'll be better stylistically for him if Floyd fights. I actually think Floyd being defensive and boxing gives Manny a better chance to outwork him. It'll be more boring tough.
Pacquaio may be saying these things for a variety of reasons, but does it not occur to everyone that Paquiao likes to deliver crowd pleasing fights? He knows that Mayweather is going to be running around like a headless chicken after he tastes some leather. If that happens, Mayweather doesn't give two explitives about the fans. He's getting paid for that fight regardless of how it looks, and how can we all forget health comes first right? I have a bad feeling Mayweather is going to make this a really bad fight to watch. But the good news is, Algieri did a good job imitating what it will be like to fight Mayweather having to chase all night
