    if y'all haven't seen the ggg-ouma fight, you need to make sure and watch it...it explains why ggg hasn't stepped up to fight the best opposition available (guys like lemieux, jacobs, ndam, etc.)

    the answer is: ouma exposed ggg as a fighter with decent but not great skills...

    ouma snapped ggg's head back again and again with those short combos from the inside. hurt ggg and backed him up. ouma appeared to be able to land at will...and even though ggg was also able to land whenever he wanted, ouma showed no effects from the punches until late in the fight. it was a very even fight with both guys taking turns dishing out a beating on the other...it was ggg's 21st pro fight...ggg was 29 at the time, so he was in his prime. ouma had lost 5 of his last 7 and was generally acknowledged to be a shopworn fighter on the tail-end of his career.

    still he was able to take the fight to ggg and beat ggg back...martin murray had a lot of the same success early in his fight with ggg because he stayed in close and landed combos with high frequency. but murray is actually a lighter puncher than ouma...if murray could have done some damage early, the last half of the fight plays out a little different. cutis stevens showed that ggg could be caught with quick counters and backed up...

    i think ggg knows he has these limitations. the ouma fight showed him his true level. he's not gonna go beyond that. ths s why he sticks to fighting the geales and adamas and rubios and murrays...i predict he'll fight someone on the level of sturm or barker next. he'll be 35 and still fighting that caliber of opponent because he's aware he'll take some punishment if he steps up his game.

    the moment ggg steps up to fight a higher caliber fighter he's gonna be exposed.

    Being 29 does not mean GGG was in his prime every boxer hits there prime at a different period in their careers

    Why the hate for GGG? He's exciting, good personality, not a jerk and fights the best available opposition for his weightclass. None of the other champs want to fight him.

    Thats why I hope Andy Lee KOs the **** out of Quillin so we can finally see a proper unification betwee Lee and GGG
