I remember seeing the fight way back when Pirog was the guy not to be messed with instead of GGG, and I remember thinking "Is this the GGG? I'm not all that impressed".

But honestly I think it was just a ****py performance really and most fighters have one or two in their careers. I think GGG has improved since then too.

Geale was a former midle champion and top 3 middle.
Murray was a top 5 contender who arguably bested 2 middle champs.
Adama was a former IBO champ and top 20.
Ishida was a solid contender who had given tough fights to Pirog, P Williams, and upset unbeaten KO machine Kirkland.

    Nobody ever stopped them.

Gennady did, and lost maybe a combined 3 rds in the process.

    How's that overrated ?

rayciss, rayciss, racyciss...that's the only thing that ever comes out of your mouth. how about you give it a rest?...not everything is about race.

i saw the fight and gave my khonest assessment...if you don't like it you can debate, but you sound like child accusing people of racism when they don't agree with you.

Look, i've been a boxing fan all my life...i know a lot about boxing. I have heard of fighters from europe and asia even more than the average fight fan... I had NEVER heard of geale or adama before ggg fought them. I had NEVER heard of murray before sergio fought him. These days a "title' is meaningless. "ranking" by some of these organizations is equally meaningless. People aint stupid. they know who's quality from who's garbage. and you know it too, don't front....geale, adama and murray might not be garbage, but i rank them a step above your average clubfighter.

i don't even take the ishida fight seriously...it was clear kirkland was having some kind of breakdown before rhe fight. ishida was garbage as he showed in every single one of his fights since.

Then all their previous oponnents were bums ... ?

Good to know the entire middle division is garbage, by your standards.

People still don't know what happened to GGG before that fight.

Do you know why that's the only fight where GGG didn't shave? Because he barely made it to the fight on time after being stuck at the airport with barely any sleep for 2 days.

He took everything Ouma threw and beat him down with a smile.

Off night. It happens. No fighter dominates every fight of his career.

And GGG had just spent the last coupla days sleeping at an airport waiting for visa issues to be sorted.

He also ended up beating the snot outta the teak tough Ouma... what it showed me mainly is that GGGs got what it takes to fight through adversity.

Reading through his previous posts throughout the months, it's easy to see that he's biased as **** and has gotten so many things wrong about fights and the fighters themselves. I wouldn't take anything he says too seriously.

So what you're actually saying is that you don't know a lot about boxing.

I only picked up the sport again about 3 years ago after a long absence and knew all these guys.

Nobody will fight Golovkin..................Murray beat Martinez, knocked him down, but lost a home town decisiion. Geale is a former world champion. They beat Sturm, Macklin was top ten.................Quillin will never come near Golovkin. Right now Golovkin is Cotto's mandatory, but it appears that Cotto will give up his WBC title rather than fight Golovkin. Golovkin will knock Cotto out if the fight happens..............Golovkin will fight any 160 lb. fighter..............

damn, fellas...i listed a buncha guys who are proven to be far better than murray....probably even better than cotto. cotto and quillen might have other fish to fry...they're not scared ggg. they have career paths they want to pursue for now...but there ARE other big fights out there for ggg. I'm talking potentially huge, COMPETITIVE fights. not everyone is ducking ggg...

he could have challenged ndam who beat stevens very impressively.

jacobs has a title now. Jacobs is a tremendously talented fighter a huge puncher who would give ggg all he can handle.

lemieux was more impressive koing rosado. he's a big puncher too and aggressive.

all potentially good tests for ggg againt dangerous guys...instead he chose murray and rubio. he's fighting the lowest level of comp he can fight...i'm tellin ya's it's because ouma showed him a rough time and he didn't like it.

I just watched the fight, it was pretty good, I'm not sure why Golovkin fought that way. He fought more confident than Ouma, there was no question GGG was in control.

    all these lame-a88 excuses.,,,

    - ggg had pneumonia
    - ggg didn't sleep for two days before the fight.
    - ggg had a broken arm and fought with it tied behind his back.

such bogus schit...look, it's a pattern he has...as the quality of his opposition increases slightly he starts to look more ordinary. i think it's really the fact that he naturally lacks speed and quickness. he's a technically proficient guy, but boxing is a sport. there's athleticism involved too...when ggg goes up against a guy who can box and give him angles and throw quick sharp combos and slip his slow counter punches, he'll be in trouble.

ouma was was a washed up has-been and gave him a life and death struggle.
