Is he ?? Asides Hall which was a dubious call it could have went either way whos he beat worth talking about , fought the same journeyman 2/3 times and the odd malawain stiff , very much a padded and protected record imo
To be fair though you can be a superb fighter without having a resume full of world beaters, its all about going on to prove it so Billy might be right.
Paul tried to draw the lead first but Tete wasn't falling for that so he tried going forward but Tete wouldn't engage up close! Sometimes the opponent can be all wrong for you! Instead of trying to point out what Paul did wrong that night why don't people give props to their opposition for not letting them. Everyone can be beat but it's how they react from that which shows how good they really are imo.
Yes they can. But... And sometimes your team and matchmaker are savvy enough to see these guys coming and avoid them! I mean, how much cop on does it take to figure out that a teak rough South african(is there an other kind?), with the height of w lightweight and the wingspan of a welter, could be "trouble" with a capital T? This fight was a big risk, a big avoidable risk. Sorry but some responsibility mis lie with The team behind the boxer.
Not wishing to sound too critical, it's just that a lot of people (idiots) are putting too much blame on the boxer here, and it's not all his fault IMO. That's all I'm saying...
Butler is the type of man that wants the best out there! He would rather lose knowing he boxed the best than fighting people he knows hes a massive favourite to beat. There is champions out there defending against no hopers and they are glad to do that but thats not in Pauls make up.
Arnie, did you watch back Gary Lockett's post-fight assessment, thought he would spot on, brilliant ****ysis and great to get a trainer's insight on the Butler-Tete fight.
Yes gasman he was spot on! I would say that because he was for us, but I do like Gary as a pundit also [emoji106]
Hear hear Len. Butler was no-where near ready for him, if he could ever be ready to get around the physical disadvantages. Also, if the only drug testing done for this fight were unobserved bits by neutrals in South Africa and a bit of a p*ss test after the fight... I'd say to W*****'s team, go back to fcking sleep!
