He was never in any trouble kid. He got knocked down once which he was stunned more than hurt.....Robert won the later round after the KD.
Almost perfect prediction except the last part. I was thinking of your post in the 10th preparing to find your post and congratulate you though. Guerrero didn't like he could continue when he went down. However, it appears my post was spot on. I said Thurman would beat up the ghost but that Guerrero would see the final bell.
Guerrero got a beatdown nonetheless . Robert won 2 rnds tops and that's me being generous you can easily give Thurman all 12 rnds . Robert was indeed hurt after that knockdown , he was trying to tie up Thurman in that corner when he swarmed him . I don't agree , I don't think this was Thurmans best performance . I would say his best performance was against Chaves . At least Chaves tested Thurman and held his own in a close fight until Keith finished him . Unlike Robert who was never in the fight .
It does when half of the people in here was predicting that walking punching bag was going to shock the world and pull off the upset :yep Guerrero never stood a chance in hell .
Congrats for your spot on prediction . At least you don't predict based on wishful thinking like most on here .
It was anything but a close fight . 118-109 One -Time . Guerrero was never that good to begin with . Even when Thurman was gassed , Robert tried to take advantage with aggression and still was ineffective and could not get anything done . Keith was in complete control of this fight .
I personally thought Guerrero won around 4 rds, most of them early. Thurman looks like he still needs some seasoning. To me what I took from this fight is Guerrero is tougher then given credit for and Thurman might not be as good as he's hyped to be just my opinion.
Keith practically won a SHUTOUT and made Guerrero hit the canvas which very few fighters can say they did . Yet That tells you that Thurman might not be that good as everyone says he is ??
Na c'mon mostly everyone knew Guerrero was past his best days, but he wasn't going to roll over for KT or anyone. Guerrero had his moments late in the fight. The tape cutting was perfectly timed , I knew Thurman would need more than just speed and power to ko RG, but either ways, it was a great fight and great performance by Thurman. Almost had him, but the ref did well in not stopping it. If it was the Guerrero from the Berto fight, Thurman might of been in trouble, but Guerrero looked very sloppy in the Kamegai fight, no way was he beating Thurman fighting like he did Kamegai. Thurman seemed to gas in the last rounds, where Guerrero was able to back him up. Thurman almost got the ko, luckily for him, Guerrero didn't have much sting in his punches late in the fight. Guerrero had no defense whatsoever and ate all of Thurman's bombs. Guerrero tough as they come, great learning experience for Thurman.
I had the fight 2-2 after 4 and gave Guerrero 2 more rds after that, I guess like everything it's a matter of perception. You thought he shut him out so to you it proved his worth, I thought he struggled a bit early until taking over midway through the fight so to me I look at it like he needs a few more step up before I think he's on that level. Based off the hype people put on Thurman and how people sh*t on Guerrero you'd think Keith would have destroyed him and to me he just won a competitive 8-4 fight.
ok......that's why Keith scored the KO..... getting punched, hurts......but Robert was never in real trouble due to any of the punches from Keith that found their mark.
Chaves was a good win over a lesser opponent.....the way he dominated a quality fighter like Robert is why I say it was Keith Thurmans best performance. Keith showed showed he's a much more complete boxer than he's given credit for with his most recent win.
