Good choice by Cotto. He earned his spot and deserves to make a big payday before retirement. He already made a career going through every risky opponent the fans demanded. GGG offers nothing.

I don't know how he would fight Pacquiao. They have the same trainer and are far apart in weight. I'm not sure if Cotto would be willing to shed much weight to make the fight.

Can him and Floyd even make a fight? I thought there was some tumultuousness/bad blood between Haymon and RocNation?

I personally thought he turned down the Canelo fight for that new '3-fight 50 million dollar contract' by Roc nation .

And if that is true , that was a good move I must say .

Cotto sees himself, Manny, and Floyd, as the 3 superstars of the sport, on another level from everyone else. Truth his his is a notch and a half below them, more on the level of a Bradley

Probably, the winner of Pac/May would probably be the biggest money fight.

The winner of Mayweather-Pacquiao would be the biggest fight out there for Cotto, if there's no May-Pac rematch, but I don't think he gets it.

Pacquiao is with Top Rank and them and Cotto don't seem to be on the best of terms right now, not too mention they share a trainer.

Mayweather is with Haymon and he doesn't deal with Cotto's new promoter so that's not likely.

Of course money can change things and Cotto fights one of them but I doubt it.

I think Cotto plays it safe in his next fight in June and then ends up facing Alvarez later this year. It's the biggest fight out there besides May/Pac and Alvarez is with GBP so there should be no issue there.
