Why I think Pacquiao beats Mayweather on May 2

Great Post......No disrespect to Floyd, but he has fought the same type of fighters the pass 10 years! Flatfooted Mex Sluggers!!! Manny has fought ALL styles, that's why I never understood when people say Floyd has seen all styles!! How's that even possible, when he only fights sluggers...besides Zab, what slick boxers or fast boxers has he fought the pass 15 years!???!!!

 

I agree, but also don't find Manny to be insanely fast or slick in 2015 in comparison to 5 years ago.
In 2009 I would of picked Manny but now Floyd should have the advantage if he just sticks to the same plan as always and box.

Plus Pacman has looked better as of late... I just feel Floyd has the tools more to his disposal for this opposing battle of styles, and therefore should win.
But If manny goes in there and does a job on him I won't be shocked.

 

Good post, but I still feel that your outlook is more of an optimist than a realist. When they meet in the ring, the reality will be that while Manny is all of those things, he will be missing wildly and getting countered every time. Manny could very well throw more punches every round, and lose every round.

This is just a biased post. Both guys have fought an array of styles but Floyd clearly has the edge over most styles faced. He also has the edge in fighting guys with actual handspeed over Manny whom I can't say really ever fought anyone with fast hands. Maybe Amir Khan in sparring but that's it.

 

I want PAC to win as much as the next PAC fan , but you have to know he is the underdog , "what floyd brings to the table ?" 20 years of undefeated record with 1 close fight , i dont think its an objective ****ysis , the guy is fighthing top notch fighters and havent lost , you would want to think PAC has the blue print , but alot of others felt the same and were wrong.
i think PAC IS the underdog and i would love it if he wins , but Floyd is the best he has ever fought , and thats a fact.

Pacquiao can't fight a full three minutes the way he used to, and Mayweather's legs and accurate/fast straight punches will make it near impossible for Paquaio to win rounds if Floyd can stay off the ropes and corners.

Pac's best chance is to make it a war early and work the body when its open. Mayweather gets hit a bit more than he used to, and is older.

An upset can happen here, but I would favor Mayweather to win.

 

Nacho Beristain said it best in the leadup to fight 2 and 3,
"the wildcat Pacquiao was less skilled but more dangerous to a fundamentally sound fighter like JMM. The existing Pacquiao is more fundamentally sound, but easier for my fighter to decipher."

This statement will hold for Mayweather as well.
The Pacquiao of today though still agile and fast, no longer is Kamakazee throwing punches every wish way and off the wrong foot. The Pacquiao who fought at featherweight threw punches from every angle and from any foot position he'd be in.
That type of fighter is'nt so easy to defend against.

Mayweather is going to have it easy come May 2nd!!!:deal
