shot Harrison? wasn't he coming off a decent win streak. anyways they're a million times more credible than Gerber and Pala put together.
Harrison and decent win streak don't go together so well. He is, and always will be a total joke. The fact that a 41 year old version of him is amongst the top 5 wins of a 'world champion' is a disgrace to the sport of boxing.
Where is your logic? Henry Cooper dropped Ali but Foreman did not. Just because one guy did it doesn't translate into another opponent of a another style in a different time. That's just being silly. And Dustin Nichols fought Wilde YEARS ago. YEARS ago. 2010. Can we move past the fact that Wilder was dropped early in his career before being ranked? Lets move passed that. By your logic, every fighter slightly more talented than Dustin Nichols should have dropped Wilder.
Wilder got tagged a couple of times himself, wobbled even, I think it was just before the bell on round 4 or 6 where he looked shook. Not taking anything away from Wilder's performance. He did great, but I can't help but think that Stiverne was just awful, so slow, predictable and he looked gassed after the 3rd round! There are 2 things that bother me about Wilder at elite heavy weight level (and for the record I think Stiverne is a 2 levels below elite). 1. His chin - its well known he has been put down in AM's, sparring and as a pro. He was hurt via Stiverne right at the bell in a couple of rounds, Im concered what will would happen if it was at the start. 2. His experience, didn't he start boxing around the age of 16-19? he has fought the same type of opposition all his career, pretty much, which is a weakness, he looked outclasses in sparring against Haye for example. How anyone can say he will knock Wlad out is beyond me (unless your name is MVC! but we all know he is a troll). Time will tell, but more importantly, his choice of next opponent will tell. There are many guys out there who feel they will expose him so its not like he is lacking in choice!
I think many fans are grasping at straws. They are looking for the new Ali, or Mike Tyson. Their time may come but not with this Wilder kid--he's here for the ride and you suckers are all on board! Gitty up!
They just cant take that man's power,eh!!! Have a look how Wilder takes another man's power: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNO5bVPP-uw
Yeah wow. A 19 or 20 year old Wilder got beat in a non professional bout. Amazing. Proves nothing. Lots of us were not as strong at 19 as we are now. How did Wilder take a man's power in his most recent outing? All you haters must admit you were so very wrong about Wilder. Apparently he can box and apparently he has stamina.
That's what WHO said about Stiverne? Listen, Stiverne was ko'ed by Demetrice King of all bum of the bums, getting absolutely outboxed by a 40 yr old Ray Austin until he finally caught him, outboxed by Chris Arreola until Arreola decided to brawl with him, and is a counter puncher who fights best going backward and against the ropes, which works against fighters his own height and reach but against a much taller fighter, not at all. He was the perfect style matchup for Wilder and nothing more. Oh yes, Stiverne was incredibly sick and would up in the hospital urinating black due to a degenerative muscle disorder which left him almost paralyzed in the ring.
anyone who thinks deontay bronze bomber wilder has a strong jaw needs to watch some of hisfights, sconiers and nicholls and some of his amateur fights.
The same can be said about Kovalev. Perhaps, you should watch some of his fights and some of his amateur fights.
