Word is that Kovalev got dropped 3 times during fight preparation..

    I highly doubt Kovalev got dropped 3 times in sparring. If any boxer would've got dropped twice, their trainer would've scaled back their sparring, or made sure their sparring partners took it easier on them. Word on the street? Eff outta here. I thought this was coming from a realiable source, not Otis Grant who considers himself a friend of Jean. Who are Kovalev's sparring partners? Anyone know?

    Heard raymi KO'd Pascal in sparring..... This is why people keep ducking him. He needs to lay off of people in sparring if he wants to get fights

    His balance is fairly ****ty for someone who has been boxing as long as he has. So if the story is true at all it might have been a situation where he met the floor a few times in sparring but I doubt it was because he was relieved of his consciousness.

    The additional drug testing duck by Duva and Kovalev is however rather shameful. That fking b.itch Duva really grinds my gears. fking witch.

    Glen Johnson was one of Kovalev's sparring partners for this camp.

    John David Jackson mentions the names of a couple of the sparring partners they've been using here. I can't make out what the name of the second one is though as the audio quality is pretty poor.

    I don't think Kovalev has the best of chins but I'd be surprised if it's true. And I'd certainly give it a little more credence if it wasn't one of Pascal's friends saying it as well.

    I think Pascal's power is a bit underrated and he certainly is capable of winning via stoppage. That said, whilst Pascal has an excellent chin and has never been down (officially), he he has been hurt in the past by Omar Pittman, and B-Hop definitely seemed to hurt him with big right hands a little in one of their fights. No one's go to try an argue that either of them can punch like Kovalev.

    Also, Kovalev seems incredibly relaxed and jovial for someone who's supposedly been having ''chin issues'' in camp.

    thx serge. as a big fan of kovalev I would say his chin isn't complete iron. but as wlad as dominated for 10years with an average chin and lewis before him, kovalev can do the same. chins don't win you fights, punches win you fights. :bbb

    I'm not totally sold on his chin but even if he does have a weakness in that department he sure makes up with it in the power one (in both hands). People cite him getting buzzed in the B-Hop fight (which I don't even think he did to be fair), but B-Hop buzzed Pascal a lot worse and Pascal has a very good chin.
