I was well impressed with the way Derry looked last week he looks as good as ever stronger , fitter and even bigger so the question is who would win if they were to fight ( once ant is well enough ) a third bout ? Im going with Derry well impressed the way he is fighting
Derry won one, and for me Crolla won two. Crolla would beat Derry handily in a third IMO. Also realistically there's no need for a 3rd at the moment (From Crolla's point anyway). Simple warm up fight or maybe two then straight back into the World mix. Whether he'd have beaten Abril is another question but he'd got his shot and so you'd expect him to want another
Crolla would win via points. Easy to say he looked very good in his last fight but he was in with a seriously poor fighter, Crolla has strung together a lot of impressive wins now and think he has the edge.
Yeah Derry does deserve a lot of credit, he's turned his career on it's head and should never be counted out of a fight even if it's not going his way... as we seen against Coyle. That said, I do have the Derry/Crolla saga at 1-1. Derry obviously won the first fight in convincing fashion when he was expected to get beat, then for me Crolla was the better man in the 2nd fight but it was scored a draw. Crolla is up there as one of the most improved fighter in Britain over the past 18 months/2 years, if there was to be a third fight I'd lean towards him. Hopefully what happened to him a few months back won't have any effects on any future performances. Would be great if Derry could land a haymaker on Abril, claim the world title then defend it in the trilogy against Crolla!!!
intresting point , crolla is the wbo international champion and well ranked yet Beltran gets another shot for the vacant tittle despite getting the most one sided ass whoopin in recent fights from crawford
Dont think Crolla took Derry serious enough in first fight then paid the price. Crolla won second for me. Would definitely watch a third but ideally with a belt on the line and both making a lot of ££ - they are both a credit to the sport
