Even when he weighted in the mid 230's he still looked soft and overweight and like some guy off the street not like a pro athlete at all. So even at his most disciplined he was no better than an average gym enthusiast, maybe worse.
even fat dan is disgusted Dan Rafael @danrafaelespn ยท 10 h hace 10 horas So much for training seriously. Chris Arreola is on Spike uc, was 262.5 lbs, 23.5 more than for Stiverne in May & .5 under career-heavy.
I don't think he's that talented. He has good power and a sold chin but that's it. He isn't particularly fast, isn't very skilled, or defensively savvy, he isn't even particularly big in this era of 2m tall super heavies. Compare him to Povetkin who has better combinations and punch variety, cuts off the ring better, moves his head more and you see a clear difference. Even Chisora has far better head movement, works the body more, is physically as strong if not stronger he just lacks the power Arreola has.
ruiz jr is better and is cutting a trimmer figure. so you Mexicans should get behind andy. but don't hope for much, heavyweight is not your division.
It must be partly genetic. An average gym enthusiast wouldnt be able to go 12 rounds shadow boxing, let along against top HW's
I've never been an Arreola fan but he seemed rededicated and came in the ring his last couple in very good shape (by his standards) and was even beating Stiverne before getting clocked Its a shame he couldn't run with that loss as motivation to stay in shape and rebound not go back to his old ways Arreola is a tough guy with good power and some fast hands for a heavyweight. I think he is a tough fight for a lot of guys but he has to get in shape to do it
Ruiz sucks. Went life and death with a shot to **** Liakhovich. I had that fight a draw, only one the judges score cards is representative of how the fight actually looked.
Arreola should genuinely be fighting at cruiserweight, if he was 8 percent body fat he would be under 200lbs.
