    Triple G keeps mentioning Cotto and wanting to fight him, response from Cotto silence, Loeffler contacts Cotto's people and again silence. Cotto instead fights non MW, then vacates. End of story, Cotto ducked Triple G.

    Lol @ Cotto afraid to fight GGG. He will fight him tonight and beat him. The only reason he is not figthing is because of Roc Nation. They are holding Cotto back and dont want to take the 10% risk he might lose.

    Lets face facts GGG has never faced a boxer of Cottos calibre. It's no wonder he is also ducking Lara.

    Last time I checked Lara(who fights on Showtime) is not the MW lineal champion, Triple G is Cotto's mandatoy, if he doesn't fight Triple G, he will either vacate or be stripped of that title. Cotto's legacy will take a hit.

    Most people don't know what they're talking about. Cotto may or may not be "afraid" to fight GGG but there isn't much to support the view that he is.

    You must be trolling because his legacy is not shot. Cotto doesn't have to continue fighting at MW.

    Bradley, Ortiz, Khan, Rios and some no name fighter are all not MWs. Loeffler has contacted the Cotto camp and hasn't gotten a response. Because of Cotto not fighting Triple G, fight fans are depreieved of seeing a fight they want.

    Let's be honest, he's done nothing that puts him on the level or Floyd, Pacquiao, or a Marquez. His legacy takes a hit in that people will see that he in not fighting Triple G is because he's afraid to risk of getting a beating at the hands of Triple G.

    So. Are any of them scheduled to fight Cotto?

    Then they should make Cotto a good offer and see if they get a response. Give him a reason to respond prior to getting mandated, he is allowed a voluntary defence so it makes sense for him to have one.

    He's a natural welterweight, nobody with any brains will think less of him for not continuing to fight significantly larger opponents in the twilight of his career. Most people thought he would get destroyed by Martinez, most people think he would get destroyed by GGG, most people think he should go back down to 154 because he is too small for 160.

    Then Triple G would not be able to fight Cotto unless it went to purse bids, then Cotto would most definitely vacate. Triple G would then go after the other belts. The fact remains however that it's a hypothetical situation. Cotto is not bound to Showtime, and Triple G is his mandatory, so the fight must happen if Cotto wants to keep that Lineal belt.

    That's the thing, Cotto can counter whatever Loeffer said to him and demand more because he is the champion, instead you hear nothing on Cotto's side. Rumors are those fighters are in the mix for his voluntary fight in June.

    He's a natural welter that has the lineal MW belt. If he wants to fight only at Welterweight, then vacate and allow Triple G to fight for the MW belt.
