Golovkin shouldn't be ragged on too much... He is fighting four times this year

He's fought Murray and Monroe Jr next.

If he fights any two decent middleweights later on in the year that's fine imo

The more fights the better imo. Monroe Jr ain't that bad. Lost an SD to Boone who has given a couple of top fighters trouble and koed Stevenson.

Cotto only fought once last year against a cripple Martinez. He should be ragged on for being a diva.

He doesn't need 4 fights. 3 is above average for champions these days. Most goes for 2.

There's no limit on how many fights a boxer should have. Old schoolers fought non stop.

If his trainer Abel wants him to keep active then i'm suire he's going to listen to his trainer.

I'm not talking about limits, I'm saying he can't be criticized for taking 3 fights a year, which is a good number of fights for a defending champion in this era.

Old schoolers fighting non-stop is another deal, they used to make too little money per fight before the TV era and most fighters even the better ones needed monthly fights to make a living.

Well yeah. But he's took two fights and taking another two fights later this year.

People are ragging on him for a stay busy fight against Monroe Jr. Who isn't that bad but not great.

He would've fought Cotto if he let him.

Yea I know he is trying to stay busy but fighting 4 times a year just gives other fighters excuses to be like "GGG has a fight scheduled so I'm not ducking him I am just going to make all my fights around his limited schedule". I wouldn't mind him fighting twice a year and being in bigger fights.

Why would anyone listen to the jealous fools who hate GGG? They're butthurt fanboys, not real boxing fans.

Golovkin is still building his profile, that's why he is fighting 4 times per year. This is a guy who struggles to land big name fights.

If he had landed that Chavez Jr. fight last year, we'd be seeing him fight twice a year instead, possibly on PPV.

Count your boxing blessings that we get to see him 4 times a year.
