What the hell has happened to Rico?

Why is he acting like a normal human being?

    I'm worried.

Yes, of course it was a legit knockdown. There's no disputing that at all. It was a great shot. But Roy's feet did slip on the wet canvas.

When I said he wasn't hurt, I didn't mean he hadn't been affected by it, I just meant that he wasn't hurt, as in that he wasn't in trouble on wobbly legs etc.

Thanks for the interview, I haven't listened to it. I'll definitely play it a little later.

The fact that he went down saved him from getting KTFO, IMO. :deal < btw, this is my new favorite smilie. I like to overuse it a lot because I find it really annoying when others do it :D

Firstly, it saved him from getting caught with a big follow up shot or shots, and secondly it gave him time for his head to clear. :deal

Look at him do a bit of a wobbly drunkard thing as he comes of the ropes at the 0:53 mark. You can see his pre-fight meal repeats on him as he does it too. I've done that exact same thing when in a drunken stupor before. A big big burp comes up on you when you're really groggy and your head is in a haze. You barely know what your own name is when in such a drunken state, never mind where you are or what you're doing. :deal

He didn't want to go to Germany. Big difference.

Yes, we were robbed of a great fight.

I can see things from both guys perspectives, and I can understand why neither guy wanted to travel. But my only gripe is that Dariusz publicly declared that he was open to fighting in the U.S. when IMHO, he clearly wasn't.

I agree, but the point i was making is far from having to hold on, for the rest of the round Marvin was straight back into the fray. This is because he wasn't hurt at all, whereas Jones was, despite his pathetic salute at the end of the round to his fan boys in the audience.

You are merely spinning in favour of your hero again. DM said he would travel if the money was right, and the money offered was nothing like the 12 million Jones was offered to fight in Germany.

At least TRY to be impartial.

    Try these facts for size.

DM's people tried to negotiate a fight with Jones over a 6 year period at various times.

Jones meanwhile tried to get the mention of DM's name banned from all HBO boxing broadcasts.

In 2002 an HBO poll of MURICAN boxing fans showed the fight they would most like to see was Jones / Dariusz.

Now I am aware that you would rather eat your own legs than admit it, but the above would indicate to anyone who doesn't hug the nuts of the steroid cheat, that Jones quack quacked as far as the Pole was concerned.

Now that doesn't mean I feel Prime Roy cant be beaten or knocked out .

    Because he definitely can .

At the end of the day No fighter is unbeatable .
