Devon Alexander cannot get a fight with Porter before reestablishing himself through at least 2 decent fights.

    You might be right

But it seems like a logical fight to make

Alexander lost to Khan and Porter lost to Brook

Neither of these guys looks like they have anywhere else to go

Porter narrowly lost a belt fight whereas Devon got completely terrorized on an eliminator level fight. It's very different. And Porter won a fight after that. Porter can get pretty much every fight in his division right now.

I think Porter got completely schooled by Brook

Porter couldn't do a thing in there

Porter had so much hype going into that fight and left with none of it

That fight was worse for Porter than you're making it out to be

It was MD for Porter and wide UD for Alexander. He's a marketable opponent for every single fighter in the division. Devon is.. NOT.

It's not hard to pick at all. Alexander stunk it up against Porter, then had an easy time with Soto Karass, then stunk it up against Khan. For a guy who has a hell of a chin, and no defense, Alexander sure doesn't take any risks in his fights. He is just coming into his prime, but seems to have hit a roadblock. He hasn't improved in a few years. It's the same short the jab, short the jab, short the jab, occasional straight left hand, that is thrown like he is a converted southpaw. It's a damn shame the guy has seemed to hit his ceiling, because everyone isn't born with a chin, or good handspeed. He needs like a year off, just working and studying under a new trainer.

Right now, I would take Porter all day.

Normally I agree with you fruutpunch but its not a great fight, could end up looking just like the first one and nobodys any futher. Wouldnt mind seeing Alexander against Maidana, Gurrero even against a few of the top men like thurman. I reckon Gurrero makes the most sense though or maybe berto. He's a fair bit behind some of them in the rankings and maybe fighting someone lower then moving on to one of these would be best for him. Porter should go for Maidana.

Porter too strong and physical for Alexander to cope with. It's a replay of the first fight if it happens, which was a 118-110 Porter ass whooping if I remember correctly... I will say going into their first fight I thought Alexander would win and at times make Porter look silly but I was wrong about that.

Much better for each of them to face different top WW's. No need for a rematch unless they both get sparked out and need a make-or-break fight or if they both somehow become legit top 10 ranked forces at WW and no logical fights with other ranked guys show up.
